“Silver Springs” was written by Stevie Nicks during the sessions for Fleetwood Mac’s album Rumours. Originally intended for the album, it was ultimately left off due to the time limitations of vinyl records and instead appeared as the B-side to "Go Your Own Way." Despite never being a major hit upon its original release, the song became one of the band's most beloved deep cuts.
Widely interpreted as Stevie Nicks' emotional response to her breakup with Lindsey Buckingham, "Silver Springs" gained legendary status after the band's 1997 live reunion performance for The Dance. During the song's climactic finale, Nicks and Buckingham locked eyes while singing the deeply personal lyrics, creating one of the most unforgettable moments in rock history. The live version earned a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal, and the song was finally released as a single in 1998, reaching the Top 40 in the UK.

A-Haunting We Will Go (1966) is a late-era Looney Tunes short directed by Robert McKimson (DePatie-Freleng). Released April 16, 1966, it’s the final Golden Age appearance of Witch Hazel and June Foray’s voice work in the classic series.
On Halloween, Daffy’s nephew goes trick-or-treating in the Broom-Stick Bunny witch costume, gets scared by Witch Hazel, and runs home. Skeptical Daffy goes to prove witches aren’t real. Meanwhile, exhausted Hazel spikes Speedy Gonzales’s cheese so he can impersonate her while she vacations in Hawaii. Speedy-as-Hazel serves Daffy potion tea, turning him into the flower-headed creature from *Duck Amuck*. Hazel returns, chaos follows, and Daffy ends up parachuting with an anvil.
Classic late-’60s Looney Tunes weirdness with recycled animation and Halloween energy.
Favorite bit — the cheese transformation, flower-headed Daffy, or the anvil parachute? 🎃🍂

In 1986, Gene Roddenberry said Patrick Stewart's name should "never, ever be mentioned in my presence again."
Five years later, Stewart sang and danced on the bridge of the Enterprise as a birthday surprise for him.
It was never meant to be seen. A copy survived and ended up as a DVD bonus.
RIP Sir Patrick.

Ian McKellen pays tribute to Patrick Stewart, his close friend of many years:
“Before everything else, Patrick was defined by being born and bred in Yorkshire, the proud county in the north of England which he loved to the end. You could hear it in his accented voice and in the stern honesty with which he told you what he thought and felt. Yorkshiremen have no truck with half-truths or avoidance of big issues. He wore his heart on his sleeve, which made him a man to rely on, to admire and in my case, love,” McKellen wrote on Instagram.
“America was his adopted home, where he met his adored Sunny who has cared for him through sickness and health, through thick and thin. But he never forsook his origins: and the proudest achievement of the most respected and beloved actor of his generation on either side of the Atlantic, was his appointment as Chancellor of Huddersfield University in Yorkshire.”
“His farewell performance in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is yet to be seen,” McKellen concluded.

1990: Samuel Doe torture: Did you watch it on tape?
I still remember when NTA broke the news of his capture during his visit to the ECOMOG field base.
Doe was captured by rebel forces under the control of Prince Yormie Johnson.
Suddenly, video tapes of his capture and torture flooded the market, people started selling them in traffic, shops, filling stations, while a lot of people trooped to Alaba market to buy the tape while video clubs started renting them to members.
It became a hit, Nigerians wanted to see what happened to Liberian Head of State Staff Sergeant Samuel Doe.
I finally watched it at a friends place, because I know my parents, they would never bring such footage home for us to watch.
Instead my dad would buy Yul Brynner ‘The King and I’ or any of the James Bond 007 movies, while my mum would gladly go to Zabadne and buy Jesus of Nazareth and make us watch it.
The torture that Doe went through in the hands of Yormie Johnson and his boys was excruciating.
I never watched that tape again after the first time.
It was not for me
