Tesla to wind down Cybertruck production after years of poor sales in few markets reut.rs/4zuYVVD
Brain went on a journey last night - driving at back of a car convoy, get stuck at lights/big roundabout, lose sight of others, then get totally lost, ended up at some random house doing something (I can’t remember if it was DIY or something else).
Woke with headache
Giving blood again on Friday, it keeps me sane knowing it goes to help those in need.

It was a pretty cool stunt, & these camera views are great!

It would be nice to visit this December, but my anxiety is getting worse around people I think
Tom Felton has visited the new Harry Potter Shop Oxford Street
“I’m absolutely blown away. I can’t believe the attention to detail here, it takes me right back to set.
To think, we’re just around the corner from the location of the premiere of the Philosopher’s Stone. Who would have thought twenty-five years ago that we’d be opening a flagship shop on Oxford Street. What a special place this shop is for fans. Just can’t wait for them to see it.”

Last night Trump said he could have won Vietnam in a week. His plan was “going after Ho Chi Minh City.”
Ho Chi Minh City was Saigon, the capital of South Vietnam. Our ally. The enemy’s capital was Hanoi. We bombed it.
He called the presidents who fought that war stupid, then explained how he’d have won it by attacking our own side.
58,220 Americans died in that war. Trump got five deferments. Now he’s telling the rest of us how easy it would have been.
He’s had more than fifty years to learn which side we were on. He still hasn’t. That alone should disqualify him from sending anybody else’s kids to war.
Instead, he’s weighing more strikes on Iran after Tuesday. His administration has reportedly considered using the “mother of all bombs,” the one he calls “like a tiny nuclear bomb.”
The man who thinks we should have bombed our ally’s capital gets to choose the targets.
Just seen the reports all over the platform about the Learjet crash in Florida US, killing all onboard. The footage is harrowing & there is ATC audio as well.
This is not a time to speculate. Thoughts are with the loved ones of those deceased 😢

Here’s a story for you. We started filming without owning the title and had to do alternates.
Taft Broadcasting owned the title Ghostbusters as part of their half-hour sitcom starring Larry Storch and Forrest Tucker (F-Troop) and a gorilla chasing ghosts. I had never heard of it. They didn’t have proton packs or Bill Murray. Columbia paid $500,000 to buy the name, but they really should have paid Dean Martin, from whom I first heard the term.
In the film Scared Stiff (1953), he and Jerry Lewis (check out his acrobatic stair descent) are in an old haunted castle, and Lizabeth Scott asks Dean: “Who are you guys?” And Dean answers: “You’ve heard of Trustbusters and Gangbusters, we’re Ghostbusters!”
For my research writing the first movie, I watched every single ‘ghost’ comedy ever made. Bowery Boys, Hope and Crosby, Abbot and Costello, Martin and Lewis all did such films.
Happy Halloween 2026.
My QI2 magnetic iPhone charger has given up the ghost tonight
10,000mAh so it would charge me up fully whilst out & about.
I have got another, but it has to be manually activated, & turns off when iPhone is full, & it won’t reactivate when charge level drops.
Some dressed up trick/treaters out there, but also some people taking the mickey, no costume, but carrying big buckets for sweets!
I think it should be no costume you give them a trick
Well, looks like Dinky will have to have a new drive belt in the New Year, & new tyres this coming month (only one is near minimum, the other is okay, but I try to replace as a pair of same make/type/manufacturer)
(Small tyres)

SIR PATRICK STEWART (1940-2026)
Before everything else, Patrick was defined by being born and bred in Yorkshire, the proud county in the north of England which he loved to the end. You could hear it in his accented voice and in the stern honesty with which he told you what he thought and felt. Yorkshiremen have no truck with half-truths or avoidance of big issues. He wore his heart on his sleeve, which made him a man to rely on, to admire and in my case, love.
We first met as ambitious young actors with the Royal Shakespeare Company half a century ago but we weren’t in the same productions. My first strong memory was a few years later, meeting him in the street in central London when he told me about an offer to take over a leading part in 'Star Trek'. “But Patrick think of your stage career in the UK. Do you really want to risk—getting lost in Hollywood for years and years?”. Well, he took the risk and thank goodness for us all that he did for not just his devoted Trekkies but film and theatre audiences, who marvelled at his using international celebrity to star in a string of cinema successes ('X-Men' of course) and in great classical plays by Shakespeare, Ibsen, Arthur Miller, Peter Shaffer, Pinter and Beckett at Stratford-upon-Avon, in London’s West End and on Broadway.
America was his adopted home, where he met his adored Sunny who has cared for him through sickness and health, through thick and thin. But he never forsook his origins: and the proudest achievement of the most respected and beloved actor of his generation on either side of the Atlantic, was his appointment as Chancellor of Huddersfield University in Yorkshire.
His farewell performance in 'Avengers: Doomsday' is yet to be seen.

What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

Last day off work for awhile, although I am finding it harder to get motivated to go to work especially with questioning work emails flying my way :(
Accident on Old Gloucester Road coming up to the Staverton Junction. Road closed by Police, & shortcut route (Hayden Lane) is about to be closed for roadworks for 2 days.
Long delays possible during this morning rush hour
Here’s a thought… what if #DianeMorgan played a British #DanaScully in the #Xfiles?
She nearly pulls this of as #PhilomenaCunk
