As the world emerges from the chaos wrought by the trans movement, the monstrous incongruity between what well-meaning people thought they were supporting and the reality of what has occurred is becoming clear. Every day, more people wake up to the fact that trans rights was never an ordinary civil rights cause. It was never about equal rights or an end to the discrimination of a long-marginalized group. It was a total rewrite of reality—a movement intent on bending the world around the false belief held by a tiny number of people who didn’t recognise themselves as mentally ill. What was sold as medically necessary, life-saving care has turned out to be an atrocious medical crime committed by true believers blind to the brutality of the procedures they perform. And what the unsuspecting masses thought was a progressive quest for equal rights has instead resulted in the obliteration of women’s rights, the suppression of scientific scrutiny, the erosion of free speech, and the dismantling of child safeguarding.
