Oh @Rogers being greedy fucking pigs not surprising
I pay for Sportsnet with my cable package. I pay for Amazon Prime. Why do I have to pay more to watch an Oilers game on Sportsnet on Prime? Make it make sense. @EdmontonOilers @amazon @Sportsnet
I came across several people yesterday who had no idea there were 9 other questions on the ballot.
I don't understand how they didn't know this.
In other news... Yay Alberta and Yay Canada!!!! ๐จ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฆ

If you live in southwest Calgary, getting to advance voting at Spruce Meadows isn't easy without a car. Our Calgary Transit team noticed the problem and stepped up with a shuttle. Proud of them for making voting easier!

Stop gaslighting Marlaina. Alberta has always had significant input on the appointment of Justices to the Court of Kings Bench and Court of Appeal. There have always been collaborative discussions. #notothe9 ๐จ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฆ
After collaborative discussions with Albertaโs government, the federal government announced two very qualified judicial appointments for Alberta. To our knowledge, this is the first time in decades weโve witnessed truly non-partisan cooperation on judicial appointments between a Liberal federal government and a Conservative provincial government.
It is a clear indication that the federal government is beginning to treat Alberta with more respect and as an equal partner. Well done by all.
Heading home from Paradise where, once again, I took more photos of the Sea and the iguanas than I did of family. @OccidentalXD thank you again for an incredible 7 days! ๐ฅ๐นโฑ๏ธ

On the same site where a new south Edmonton hospital had been planned, this govt is building a โPublic Charter Schoolโ for 1200 students.
What does that mean, Public Charter School, you ask?
I saw one post stating that the govt was โblurring linesโ

Our daughter and granddaughters just moved into our condo complex. Last night, the girls showed up at my patio door with gifts of earthworms. This morning, while walking the dog, I was greeted with, "Morning Nana!" from their bedroom window.
I could get used to this! ๐ฅฐ
Got my special ballot in the mail yesterday! Can't wait to tick off No to the 9 and Yes to staying in Canada!!! #FireTheUCP #ForeverCanadian ๐จ๐ฆ
Watching Steel Magnolias with Mama tonight. The first time I saw this movie was with Mama in the theatre. I've watched it nearly every year since. #RIPDolly
How blessed were we to live in the same world and at the same time as Dolly?
Thank you for the music. Thank you for the lessons. Thank you for shining your light into a world that was, at times, very dark.
We will always love you. โค๏ธ

I'm still kinda pissed with him, but I'll give him props for this ๐๐ป
Well said and worth a share.
How is it possible for a Canadian politician to comment on this *without even mentioning* the constant, unprovoked attacks on our economy, and our sovereignty, by the Trump Administration?
This comment๐ bizarrely suggests that the Governments of Canada and Ontario are to blame for MAGA protectionism.
Why is the Blame Canada crowd so eager to forget that Canada negotiated and respected the terms of both NAFTA and CUSMA, but that the Trump Administration decided to begin levying prejudicial tariffs on Canada immediately after taking office?
Are Mr. Jivani and his fellow travellers suggesting that Canada somehow began this trade war? Or that we should just cravenly surrender to the latest demands of the United States, no matter how outrageous, up to and including a US veto on Canadian trade with other countries?
Are Mark Carney and Doug Ford responsible for President Trump threatening to โuse economic forceโ to โannex or acquire Canada?โ (January 7, 2020)
Did Carney or Ford cause Trump to talk endlessly about making Canada โthe 51st state,โ or about our โimaginary borderโ based on a โfake treaty?โ Did they send President Trump the maps he displayed in the Oval Office depicting Canada as subsumed by the United States?
Are Ford or Carney to blame for dishonouring Canadaโs war dead (โthey stayed a little back, a little off the front lines;โ โtheyโre never been there for us.โ)
Was Stephen Harper somehow responsible for hoodwinking the Americans when he agreed that Canadian taxpayers would pay 100% of the Gordon Howe Bridge costs in exchange for toll revenues?
Did Canadian governments contrive the calumnies used to justify US tariffs, like:
- Canada is a major source of fentanyl exports (when the data confirm that less than 1% of US fentanyl imports are from Canada);
- Canada is a major source of illegal migration (when the data confirm that less than 5% of illegal border crossings to the US are from Canada);
- Canada is a hotbed of modern slavery / human trafficking (the insane rationale employed for todayโs 50% tariffs);
When JD Vance said โthe whole point of this (dispute) is to change Canadaโs behaviour,โ what did he mean? Change the behaviour of a reliable friend and ally that honours its trade agreements, while respecting its sovereignty?
Of course itโs fair and legitimate to offer constructive criticism of how Canadian governments have managed this impossibly difficult crisis.
But surely after 18 months of these provocations and attacks, itโs time to put patriotism ahead of partisanship.
