I have an MSTVF that when run not wrapped in the function gives me a ~15 sec execution and ~11,000 rows. However when I run it inside the function I’m still executing at 4 hours and show over 12bil reads. Just executing select from function name, no joins. What up? #sqlhelp

Just about all the #sqlserver s in my environment I inherited have data, logs, binaries, and bak are on their own drive but are presented as mount points of C with no drive letters assigned. C:\SQLData\, C:\SQLLogs\, C:\SQLBin...etc. Why oh why? #sqlfamily

I have a SQL 2016 3 node AG that is having some issues that make me think indirect checkpoints may help. This DB was upgraded so the value is still 0 for target recovery time. This is a large mem very active DB. Any concerns with doing the switch live?
