28 seconds later, Luke Hughes scores on a wrist shot from the top of the right circle - looked like the puck deflected off the stick blade of Justin Hyrckowian. 4-1 Devils

Ritzy Ritz!! Justin Hryckowian puts Dallas on the board with 3:52 left in the second period, tipping-in a Tyler Myers shot. Hryckowian now has goals in back-to-back games after not having any goals in the first 10 games of the season. 3-1 Devils

Very good friends Jamie Benn and Brenden Dillon drop the gloves (but not a single punch is thrown) after Dillon levels Nils Lundkvist with a big hit (it was clean). Referee gives Benn an instigator (2, 5 & 10)....

Jesper Boqvist scores on a wrist shot from the top of the right circle. DeSmith looked to his left around a Thomas Harley screen, Boqvist shot it to the opposite side. 3-0 Devils

Nico Hischier scores his second goal of the game - a one-timer from the top of the left circle on a drop pass a mere 38 seconds into the second period. 2-0 Devils

Wow, it's a good goal. Devils lead 1-0 and the Stars are assessed a two-minutes bench minor penalty. Timo Meier's skates are not in the crease, but he's also not trying to make a play on the puck. He's in the way, but I guess they ruled that he was entitled to his space.
