People who say Nuvaxovid's only benefit over mRNA is fewer AEs are very dangerous.
They claim to be experts in the available literature but deny the vast literature on improvements over mRNA.
- It lasts longer and does not wane away like mRNA
- It creates long-lived plasma cells in the bone marrow
- It activates interferons and your innate immune system
- It has higher beneficial antibodies
- It adapts a memory response with a single shot
- Upregulates IgG2 and IgG3 independent of IgG1
- It fights more variants
- It requires fewer updates year-to-year by increasing antibody ranges with additional shots
And...
- It has fewer AEs
Plus, there's more, but this is what I can think of off the top of my head.
So, if you are following a wannabe "expert" who claims it only has fewer AEs, then they are not an expert, and you should be asking what else they are lying to you about.
Because they definitely are.

📣 CANADIAN HOSPITALS TO TEST REAL-TIME AIR DISINFECTION
“Allowing 10% of our patients to get infected is unsustainable. The cost is simply too high. Billions of $ are spent on treatment & many billions more are lost to the inefficiency of blocked beds.”

Daily N95 wear has been a life-changer for me. Not being sick for 6 years was like getting 14-21 days back per year from a single acute illness. Let’s say 84-126 extra healthy days. It’s incredible when you think about it. Masks on planes =no brainer. Daily public masking? Same.
University of Hong Kong researchers analyzed 40 airplane outbreaks of COVID-19 and flu.
Infection risk was highest near infected passengers.
Models found N95 masks nearly eliminated transmission, while doubling ventilation alone was insufficient.

I feel like many have forgotten that the first S in SARS stands for “Severe.”
“Covid is mild now! It’s basically just a cold!” Right, right… and you think viruses only damage your body in ways you can feel immediately? 🤨 It’s a severe disease even if it doesn’t feel that way!

This is the most encouraging thing I’ve read in a long time in regards to public health taking on the necessity of clean air in hospitals. Good work sir. I applaud you. I look forward to the day that this is universally adopted.

"Between 10,000 and 20,000 Canadian hospital beds are blocked on any given day, and CHAIR believes universal airborne protection could cut that number in half. The pilot is designed to test that hypothesis with measured data."

"Each new hospital bed costs about $1 million to build – and another $500K to $1 million annually to staff and operate.
Protecting a bed with upper-air UV costs about $5,000 initially and a few hundred dollars a year to maintain and operate."

“SaniLume is roughly 15 to 30 times the air disinfection of the best upper-room devices previously tested at Leeds, and about 300 times that of typical ceiling-mounted units.” said Hunt. “That is why we are excited to put it to the test in real hospitals.
We intend to initiate these studies in November, subject to funding.”

"Roughly one in ten hospital inpatients acquires an infection during their stay.
A patient who would have stayed one week may stay two or three.
As a result, as many as one in five hospital beds can be occupied by someone who was infected in hospital.
Those blocked beds back up emergency departments and delay care for everyone else."

I really, really dislike the “still masking” framing. It annoys me to no end.
I’m not “still wearing a seatbelt”, so why would I be “still masking”?
Maskers are generally way *ahead* of the curve, because we discovered what should be viewed as a lifelong mitigation fairly early in the paradigm shift from droplet theory -> airborne.
Which is the complete antithesis of “still”, a qualifier that implies masking is a mitigation with a potential end in sight. There isn’t a potential end, at least as far as it being the more scientific and moral choice to use respirators in shared public spaces. It’s the correct science, and it will always be the correct science until the day that we die, and it will continue being the correct science well beyond that point.
Unfortunately, I know that there are a lot of people in the COVID conscious community who are still waiting on a miracle prophylactic drug to be able to remove their masks. I don’t think it’s the majority, but I do know there’s a significant amount. To be clear, if their wish ever does come true, those people, many of whom I fear are the ones using the “still masking” framing, will be indistinguishable from everyone else using past-tense “during COVID” in 2026.

Police do not prevent crime; they respond to it. Crime is prevented by higher wages, guaranteed health care, food security, high-quality child care, housing, good schools, and addiction treatment.
