Strengthening School Safety & Disaster Preparedness On the occasion of World Teachers’ Day, DDMA, District New Delhi, in collaboration with NDRF 16 Bn, organised an SSP (School Safety Programme) Training Programme at Harcourt Butler Senior Secondary School, Mandir Marg, New Delhi, on 05 October 2026. The programme focused on sensitising and enhancing the preparedness of teachers, students and school staff towards disaster management, emergency response, school safety and risk mitigation. DDMA NEW DELHI DISTRICT | MOCK DRILL District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), New Delhi District conducted a mock drill on Forest Fire Emergency Response on 07.10.2026 at West Forest Division, Mandir Marg, near Birla Mandir. The exercise assessed emergency preparedness, response capabilities, communication systems and inter-agency coordination. Delhi Police, Delhi Fire Services, CATS, NDRF, NDMC, IGL, Civil Defence, Forest Department and medical teams participated in the exercise. The simulated incident was successfully responded to and controlled, followed by a debriefing session to identify areas for further strengthening of disaster response mechanisms. Poshan Maah campaign Launch- with Poshan Rath (in coordination with NGO Mobile Creche) today at Jam nagar House, New Delhi

As part of the Poshan Maah celebrations, Deptt. of WCD has organised flag-off of a Health & Nutrition Awareness Van to take the message of good nutrition & health to the masses. The awareness van will travel across Delhi for next one month, disseminating information & generating awareness among communities on key aspects of nutrition, maternal & child health, healthy dietary practices & preventive healthcare. The van is flagged off by the Secretary, Department of Women & Child Development, GNCTD and the ADM, New Delhi in the presence of DCNC members and staff of DWCD.
