Casey Jarvis ball strikes on repeat 🔂 #GenesisChampionship

"It wasn't great today, I was struggling off the tee but I felt my iron game was decent, I just didn't create many chances. I lost a few shots when I hit errant tee shots. So I'm going to go to the range and grind a little bit. "I need a low one tomorrow, I know this course could play tough so I'm still in it. My mindset was to play simple golf and make as many chances as I could. "Unfortunately, that didn't happen today. If I can get a nice score tomorrow then get momentum the rest of the week, I think there's every chance to finish top five and keep my card., But that said, I need to start find the fairways and putt a little bit better." Jens Dantorp came into this week sitting 117th in the Race to Dubai Rankings and after today's opening round 74 (+3) is projected to move to 120th. He'll need a strong second round on Friday to make the weekend and finish in the top 100 on the Rankings to keep his card for 2027. #GenesisChampionship

"Some good, some average. But all-in-all, I had a lot of fun and hit a lot of good golf shots, it's always nice to finish with a birdie. "I would've liked to make a couple of birdies to be honest, but I just found the pins were quite tucked this morning, especially this morning, it was hard to get the ball close. I think the scoring reflects that! "Par is a good score any day of the week but I'm happy with how I went around my business. Like I said, it's really nice to finish with a birdie and it'll make my noodles taste better." Hear from Brandon Robinson Thompson after his level par opening round of 71 who came into this week sitting 109th in the Race to Dubai Rankings knowing that he needs to finish within the top 100 to keep full status for next season. Currently sitting T33 at the Genesis Championship, he's projected to move into 106th on the Rankings. #GenesisChampionship
