Happy 63rd Birthday, Jun'ichi Kanemaru! The Japanese voice of Sonic since Sonic Adventure in 1998, through Frontiers and Sonic X Shadow Generations, plus the Sonic X anime. #ThisDayInGaming

Kishimoto remarked that Western gamers don't appreciate subtlety in storytelling and I thought "maybe he's being silly" but then remembered there are whole swathes of people who genuinely think this guy took to beating children at chess to rebuild his ego and I was like "oh--"

Spot-on! Redesigns can be a fun form of creative expansion, but acting like you know someone’s work better than they do, or coming in with a passive-aggressive “there i fixed it for u :)” mentality is just such a turn-off. Let’s respect intention and original vision 👍

Twitters whole "character redesign" obsession always feels very mean spirited and pretentious Only ever directed at indie creators who are getting to make their dream projects and the reaction is always "Actually it should look like this! I know your characters better than you!"

Sonic OVA is still unmatched in terms of understanding Sonic's character flaws: impatient, egotistical, short tempered, competitive And it still manages all of this without making him unlikable or annoying, it's a masterclass in characterization

"What's your biggest impact on the internet?" Being a longtime NiGHTS nerd has definitely been a factor, but I'd say being Balan Wonderworld's strongest soldier has as well. If anything I've written or drawn has helped you appreciate or understand this game better, I'm happy ❤️

"What's your biggest impact on the internet?" This artwork of Silver has become my most liked illustration from all time + extra illustrations that have made amazing numbers this year. Honestly, I'm seeing lots of support on my artwork lately, thank you so much! 🥹
