Trainer Hamilton Smith gets his second win on Maryland Million Day, as 2YO filly Talking Foolish ($9.60) fires between horses to win the $100,000 Maryland Million Lassie. Blinkers on with @JevianToledo aboard, a combination that did the trick in her second stakes attempt.

Mopo (3-2) holds off Beautiful Blome to win the $125,000 Maryland Million Ladies at @LaurelPark. 4YO filly was a contender in this field last year but had to scratch, up in fine form under @Pacolopez1018 this time around. Her fourth win this year for Phillip Capuano.

Kerness K (1-5) wins his 11th straight race in the $50,000 Maryland Million Starter Handicap at @LaurelPark. 4YO gelding has simply been unstoppable since Jamie Ness claimed him in March, and he is now the winningest horse in North America this year. @chuan_martin aboard.

Celtic Contender (8-5) gets the perfect stalking trip under Forest Boyce and edges clear to win the $100,000 Maryland Million Sprint at @LaurelPark. First stakes win this year for the Hamilton Smith-trained 5YO, long overdue after a string of near-misses.

Owhatanite (7-2) flies up the rail under @jockey_jb18 to win the $50,000 Maryland Million Turf Starter Handicap, the first race on Maryland Million Day at @LaurelPark. Suzanne Stettinius trainee has had a brutal time getting on grass lately, strikes with a big opportunity here.
