Somebody from BHVR decided to try and help keep the lights on for that dogshit game that so many weirdos have made their whole personality…and it came with controversy. Idc for twitch streamers so I’m not defending anyone but if someone tries to do something in good faith—why can’t yall accept a “my bad” and keep it moving? Instead those toxic weirdos send death threats to the employee and play victim when another toxic community invades their own little toxic shit show. It’s cool when they cannibalize themselves with their “Us vs Them” mentality but when another group comes in and spews slurs at them as a whole—it’s suddenly “too much”. BHVR shouldn’t have apologized but that’s what happens when you pander. They also blatantly threw that employee under the bus over something done in good faith.

This Chinese Opera shit goes on way too long in Phantom Blade 0. We get it, it’s a cultural thing but as someone who is trying to make sense of this GODAWFUL story—throwing this long ass sequence is wild.

PB0 isn’t “hard”. It’s annoying. You’ll fight a boss that has 3 stages with the last stage being a 2v1 That’s artificial difficulty and it’s just really fucking stupid

Phantom Blade Zero is mid. The combat is mostly spectacle and very little substance. You can get by just mashing outside of bosses and with enemies not respawning it’s starting to dawn on me that the reason why is because the combat is truly shallow as fuck. Idk maybe Onimusha combat loop spoiled me but PB0 gets boring fast

Hearing Phantom Blade 0 is stupid easy and enemies don’t respawn is making me not want it. If the combat is the main focus why limit the engagements? Was it to widen that “Soulslike” gap even more?

So far the balancing around Halloween the game has been good. Not being able to just pop up and instantly kill a character with Reality Tear is gonna take some getting used to but it needed to be changed.
