Since Minister Josephine disclosed in Parl that 185k foreigners lost jobs, I have been waiting for the detailed data which was released today. Confirm 181,000 work permit holders “lost” their jobs but EP/S-pass holders declined by less than 10%. Still no good jobs for Sporeans!

There is a headline in today’s ST saying “Businesses committed to Singaporean core but cannot be anti-foreigner”. A more appropriate attitude should be “Businesses need foreigners but cannot neglect the Singaporean core”.

Fellow Singaporeans, hurray to the change on dependent pass holders (DPs). They should not be allowed to work so liberally in the first place. Next we want to get more clarity on Intercompany Transferees. More voices in Parliament help.

Before increasing taxes we should review our expenditures first. Puzzling why foreigners take up 40% of our jobs but not contributing enough tax revenue to relief Singaporeans from further tax increases.

An appeal to Singapore’s ruling party to reform how it manages race: discard Lee Kuan Yew’s wrongheaded genetic theories, and stop using national security and economic growth to justify deprioritising justice and equality. books.academia.sg/papvpap-ch…

Love how PSP is so organised that they have multiple divisions and then on the other hand you have the Reform Party which continues to be atrocious at handling even its own internal communications. 😂

#Singapore: I tuned into TV news during lunch and our KCNA botched a live cross to our laoyah election department. So much for watershed election. And then I flipped channels and watched Janil (who didn’t do NS) get all flustered by softball questions about #covid app. #GE2020

There needs to be a fundamental change in the government's rent seeking behaviour. As the single largest land owner in the country, the government sets the price and it is too high!
For the past 2 decades, Government’s rent-seeking policies chased away high value-add manufacturing jobs and created low value-add jobs in the services sectors. Now, even those low value-add jobs are destroyed by the Government’s mishandling of the crisis and the circuit breaker.

Can we have differences in views without casting aspersions on the intentions of the person suggesting an alternative perspective? We are here to make Singapore better!
“Let’s stay united” and “We are in this together” can only be meaningful if there is a political will to listen to and accept differing views and alternative solutions to tackle the current crisis. Time for bold actions not empty exhortations.

Come and join us in our 3rd MeetPSP(MPSP) session. #PSP #ProgressSingaporeParty #YouDeserveBetter
The use of fear tactics to stay in power is doing the country a disservice. People are wiser today. Casting fear not to change the status quo in a crisis just means depriving the country of solutions to get out of it. We do better with free contest of ideas and alternative views
