What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

Chris Rock reveals Madagascar gave him his biggest check ever, but he lost out on a $30M Shrek paycheck because Eddie Murphy had a studio in his house and just walked downstairs in his pajamas to do Donkey.
David Spade: "What's your biggest mailbox check?”
Chris Rock: "Madagascar."
David Spade: "Oh, yeah. Oh, it is?, I turned down Madagascar."
Chris Rock: "Woah... Are you allergic to money?"
Chris Rock: "DreamWorks was a new company... if you get someplace early, they overpay. The Shrek guys made so much money none of them ever worked again for 20 years.”
“Eddie has a recording studio in his house, so all he has to do is go downstairs to do Donkey. At least twice they negotiated deals with me to play Donkey. And then Eddie just went downstairs... and made $30 million. Just because Eddie went downstairs. I'm on my way to the studio, and 'Oh, Eddie went downstairs, fuck. God dammit, Eddie went downstairs. He's in his pajamas, doing Donkey right now.'"

The restaurant that Lacy visited in Japan DENIES charging him $12,000 (1.96m YEN) and claim they don’t charge customers for items they did not order and had to discard some of the food since they began cooking it already.
“We [the restaurant] discarded some items without offering them because the customer confirmed that they didn’t order them”

Matt Damon says James Cameron offered him 10% of Avatar, a payday the press put at $250 million. He said no. Last December, Cameron said there was never anything to say no to.
Damon had been laughing about it for 15 years.
In the video below, Damon tells the story, and Cameron answers him.
The way Damon tells it, Cameron called with the lead role and a cut of the gross. Damon was locked into a Bourne film. He passed.
Sam Worthington took it. Avatar made $2.9 billion, the biggest movie ever.
Damon turned it into his best joke. “I passed on the biggest payday in the history of” Hollywood. “So I can never do worse financially.”
John Krasinski paced the kitchen when he heard. “Nothing in your life would be different,” he said, “except you and I would be having this conversation in space.”
Even Cameron played along. In 2022 he laughed on camera: Matt, you’re one of the biggest movie stars in the world. Get over it.
Last December, he took the joke away. “He was never offered the part. There was never a deal.” The 10%, Cameron said, was Damon’s usual cut on his own films, stretched onto one he never signed.
“Matt, it’s okay, buddy! You didn’t miss anything.”
The case for Damon’s version: in that same 2022 clip, Cameron said Damon “had to regretfully decline.” You can’t decline nothing.
On the Street, the deal you almost did grows a zero every time you tell it.
So who’s telling it straight: the man who lost $250 million, or the man who says there was nothing to lose?

Daniel Radcliffe told Jaylen Brown how he wore the EXACT SAME OUTFIT for 3 MONTHS straight so paparazzi couldn’t make MONEY off his pictures because they all looked the same 😭💀
He also revealed how PISSED he was when paparazzi tracked him down in Spain after his son was born, to the point he learned SPANISH CURSE WORDS just to confront them.
“Now that I’ve got a little boy, I’m like, ‘No, you’re affecting his life. You’re affecting his way of going through the world, and I don’t want that to happen.’”

Zendaya says there's one attractive quality about her husband that makes her jealous and impressed
Zendaya: "Something I am always impressed with Tom about, which I feel like I want to inherit more of, is he's very...
Tom Holland: "Awesome? legendary? talented?"
Zendaya: Yeah, so many great words...but you really stand on your big stickler for respect and kindness."
"Not to say that I'm not doing that, but you just make sure that is in the front."
"And then if that line is crossed, I think sometimes he's better at drawing boundaries and making things clear. And I'm a little bit more like, okay, guys, it's all right, everything's all right."
"You're good at being like, no, no, this is, we're not doing this. You're good at setting the boundaries when they need to be set. Really clearly, really strong."
"So I like that you have, you know what you feel is right for yourself, and you do it, and for others you're very protective in that way.

Just last month, DoorDash couldn’t seem to find the money to pay their deliveristas — until our administration forced them to give back $131M+ in stolen wages and penalties.
This week, they’ve managed to find $17 billion to acquire one of their main competitors.
Corporate consolidation means higher prices, harsher exploitation, and greater economic inequality for New Yorkers.
We’ve stood up to these giants before. That doesn’t stop now.
BREAKING: DoorDash just agreed to buy Instacart for $17 billion. Here's what that means for customers and shoppers. apnews.com/article/doordash-…

Raven-Symoné and her wife Miranda Maday were left SPEECHLESS when Kyle Massey started ROASTING them over everything people have been saying about them online 😭💀
“Miranda, they saying that you’re Raven’s handler… everybody thinks you’re in control of everything she does, all decisions, all the STUPID sh*t she says. I’m here to set the record straight… there is NO WAY you can be her handler. No one can handle Raven. She can’t even stand in front of a microphone and speak without pissing everybody off. Are you aware we can hear you?” 😭

My husband invited his mistress to our tenth wedding anniversary dinner, seated her three chairs away from me, and watched me thank her for coming. But the affair wasn’t what destroyed me. It was discovering that almost everyone at that table had helped him hide it.
There were twelve guests, including my parents, my younger sister, my husband’s brother, and friends we’d known for years. He’d reserved a private dining room at a restaurant where dinner cost more than our monthly mortgage. Everyone was laughing, ordering expensive wine, and telling stories about our marriage. The woman sat beside my sister, wearing a delicate gold bracelet identical to one I’d found in my husband’s car six months earlier. He’d claimed it was a gift for his brother’s girlfriend. I might have dismissed the coincidence if I hadn’t watched my sister lean over and whisper, “You okay? I know tonight’s awkward.” The woman nodded and glanced at my husband. Something cold settled in my stomach. When my husband stepped outside to take a call, I followed him into the hallway. “How long?” I asked. His expression changed immediately. “Please don’t do this here.” That was all the confirmation I needed. “How long?” I repeated. “Almost two years,” he admitted. I stared at him. “And they know?” He didn’t answer. When I walked back into the room, nobody asked why I’d been crying. My mother simply reached across the table, squeezed my hand, and whispered, “Sweetheart, just get through dinner.” I realized then that she wasn’t comforting me. She was asking me to cooperate.
