Chris Paul says the greatest moment in sports he’s ever had was scoring 61 points in honor of his late grandfather: “My grandfather was 61 years old when he died. The first game of my senior year, I had 59 points in the game. I drove to the lane, shot, made a floater, and got fouled. That gave me 61 points. I went to the free throw line… The state record for the most points in a game was 67 points, held by Michael Jordan. But I had 61. I went to the free throw line, I threw the ball out of bounds, and walked off the court and hugged my dad.” (via @buildorbreakpod)
