The last four matches have proved that this is the right decision in the best interests of our football club. These two are both brilliant people and equally brilliant footballers. We are lucky to have them. Get there on Saturday 💛💚
⚽️📰 | BREAKING NEWS
Following conversations this evening between both parties we can confirm that captain Jacques Welsh and vice captain Peter Wylie will continue as player managers until the end of the season.

Can not fault our boys today, second half performance up there with the best I have seen from a @RuncornLinnets team. So unlucky to come away empty handed but very proud tonight. Thanks to our supporters who made the trip in awful conditions.
🟡🟢 | DEFEAT IN STAFFORDSHIRE
A narrow defeat for the Yellows, who put everything into the second half to try and get a result. We responded twice through Lewis Buckley and a unreal Sean Miller bicycle kick. McGee had a glorious chance to level the scores late on, but it just wasn't to be. A brilliant effort from the lads this afternoon!
Next up! We are back at the Apec Taxis Stadium, as we face @vmfc_, let's get behind the lads! UP THE CORN! 🌽💛💚
💛💚| Some performance that, on and off the pitch. When we are all together our football club is something else. Today was one of those days, thankyou everyone. Big love!
🟡🟢 | LINNETS SMASH IN FOUR!
A standout performance from the Yellows this afternoon, dominating throughout and scoring four goals in the process. Simply fantastic from Jacques Welsh's Runcorn Linnets!
Next up! We face Stafford Rangers away on Saturday next week. See you there!

"Having just one training session to get the lads around you is no small thing, and it shouldn't be underestimated. Let's take the positives from the game and move on. You're undefeated, my mate. Happy to stand by you in the trenches 💛💚"
💛💚| Extremely proud of our @RuncornLinnets boys yesterday, especially the skipper, @jacques_welsh who, as always led by example to pick the lads up after the week's events and put in a great performance, as they all did. Our fans were brilliant too. Let's go again Tuesday.

2-2 at the Apec some positives there for Welshy and the lads to take on to Tuesday, noah and Oscar introduction gave us a bit of pace to get up around Lewis and good response to going 2-1 down. Get there on Tuesday UP THE CORN 🌽
💛💚| Another tough week @RuncornLinnets as we say goodbye to another manager. Not my choice as I was made up to get Ello back. All I ask is that you get behind @jacques_welsh and the lads on Saturday. Good luck to whoever comes next. Club will always come first.

Boring when Linnets win and these two volunteers don’t get the blame for everything by people who struggle to manage their own lives, Never mind run a good established non league football club
Keep going chaps 👊 @DaftPeter @JEFFCTMPRO
Bring back the soap opera 😂

💛💚| Getting abused all week from someone who I used to call a friend. It might be jealousy but I honestly don't deserve how you have treated me or my wife. Today, lets forget @RuncornLinnets but thanks to my mate @ryanbrooke10 for being you, you deserved the win.
💛💚| Great start to our @RuncornLinnets season, fight and desire from the get go, against a tough Jon Macken @StalyCelticFC team. Never gonna be easy but we were good from the start. Thanks to the 725 who came to see that performance and early contender for goal of the season.

Not a great look when one of our respected hard working long term residents is beaten in what appears to be a racist attack
DM us any names we will grass them up all day long
It doesn’t help that our MP keeps stoking hatred and division in this town a town that doesn’t belong to her!
People should be waving the St George flag today for the England team but most won’t because it’s been hijaked by those that hate
If you are out tonight and England loose please don’t beat the Mrs up when you get home as noted again by our MP, beggars belief doesn’t it…
This town won’t accept it too many decent hardworking folk

Another sell out today for the @RuncornLinnets boys as we welcome @buryfcofficial. Our 4th in the last 4 years. Hard to plan a fixture like this as a group of volunteers. Special thanks to @bluepaul0869 for everything these last few weeks.
