There's a UAW organizing committee at Tesla’s 20,000-worker factory in Fremont, California.
And they're talking to coworkers about the benefits of forming a union.
This comes as the @UAW is winning big. After announcing a huge agreement with Ford, union president Shawn Fain said, “One of our biggest goals coming out of this historic contract victory is to organize like we’ve never organized before. When we return to the bargaining table in 2028, it won’t just be with a Big Three, but with a Big Five or Big Six.”

Farm work is among the most dangerous jobs. Without a union contract, workers can be afraid to speak up about safety and may not receive proper care if injured. Farm workers urgently need the protections of a union contract. Your gift can help. ufw.org/accidents2023 #WeFeedYou

Tuesday, I’ll go to Michigan to join the picket line and stand in solidarity with the men and women of UAW as they fight for a fair share of the value they helped create.
It’s time for a win-win agreement that keeps American auto manufacturing thriving with well-paid UAW jobs.

When I was a kid, I thought it was cool that Marty Feldman publicly disparaged the parent company of Universal by mentioning MCA alongside the KKK in a movie he made for them, effectively ending his writing and directing career in Hollywood.
Years later, from the perspective of dealing firsthand with those same bureaucracies myself, that opinion changed to it being a foolhardy and self-destructive.
Now, even more years later, seeing that same studio nefariously trim trees to make conditions for striking writers and actors worse on sidewalks, I’m back to appreciating Marty denigrating his corporate overlords. This is underscored by a photo taken the day he packed up his Universal Studios bungalow and left the lot.

Risk is following your dreams. Reward is benefiting either financially or emotionally from the hard work. Writers have taken nothing but risks their whole careers. Studios reap nothing but rewards. They should take more risks & trust audiences crave ingenuity over regurgitation.
