I got back today from the funeral. It was a lot, especially seeing my other grandparents and realizing how fragile they are all looking these days....
So I leave tomorrow to head back to my hometown. I was able to borrow funds to get me there and back but will still be doing the emergency coms once I return. I should be back by Thursday or Friday depending on what support my family needs.

I think what's pissing me off the most about the Tapas shutdown situation is that it's COMPLETELY salvageable if Kakao would just change the business model a bit. Offer monthly subscription tiers as well as ink, sell the same merch they have in Korea in the Tapas shop
Stop using machine translation and switch to ACTUAL editors and proofreaders. It's not a difficult fix and if they truly wanted to support authors and fight piracy they'd make changes, but they're extremely short sighted and unwilling to learn what would work internationally.
