In a way, the main character of Duty is the one who resonates most with a person I actually know in real life. Very few of the characters in my books have been based on real people... so this series was very special to me.
You get to watch a person start from near the absolute bottom and become what they truly can be, which is a wonderful thing to behold!
Anyway, enough feelings from me. Get this free right now (through Friday): amazon.com/dp/B07R6TMYBY
Duty starts with Albert, a lazy night club worker on a lunar colony who has no real reason to keep going. Then a stranger asks for his help. I loved writing this one.
Duty is Book 1 of World of the Young Ancients, $4.99 on Kindle. amazon.com/dp/B07R6TMYBY
How do you feel about books that switch between a few different characters? Love the variety, or always waiting to get back to your favorite?
Best book deal this week. Shine is free on Kindle right now.
It kicks off the Mirror Man series in the world of The Infected, about a man who gets a second chance at life and a lot of power he isn't sure he should have.

Which do you like more in a series, the first book where everything is new, or the later ones where you already love the characters?
Scales is about a girl who can turn into a dragon, and nobody around her thinks that's a good thing. I had a lot of fun with Avery.
Scales is Book One, $2.99 on Kindle. amazon.com/dp/B01JDT3UNM
Best book deal to start your week. Fletcher is free on Kindle.
It's the one where an old historian ends up sharing a head with a lazy kid, and I still smile thinking about writing it.

Be honest. If you landed in a fantasy world tomorrow, how long would you last?
I'd give myself about a day. Maybe two if there's a library.
A war of magic and arms burns to the East while young Anders Brolly trains in the arcane arts, trying to resist an ancient menace that threatens his home and perhaps the entire world. The historian Farad Ibn Istel is still blended with his mind, and together they're sent toward the front.
War Bow is Book 2 of Crystals of Memory, $4.99 on Kindle. amazon.com/dp/B082Y7SBL9
Best book deal for your Sunday. Absolute is free on Kindle.
Ben Epson throws everything he has in with a group of very special rebels who are more than they seem. Change the world for the better, or die trying. Possibly both.

When a dungeon gate opens, people freeze. Nick Burgess is the civilian who can still move at noon.
It isn't much, but if he can move, he can maybe fight the monsters coming for him.
A Hero at Noon is Book 1 of The Great Isekai Gate War, $2.99 on Kindle. amazon.com/dp/B0DRFNX73X
If you could move into the world of one book for a week, which one would you pick? Vacation, not survival mode.
Best book deal I've got this weekend. Cul-De-Sac is free on Kindle.
Jacob Hines is thrust into a mysterious walled community where secrets are kept and dangers lurk around every corner. And there's a mysterious power living inside of him.

Quick poll. Morning reader, lunch break reader, or the person still reading at 2 AM promising it's the last chapter?
Life behind the wall in Terrace Springs comes with twenty-four hour guards and, thanks to Jake, built in lawn work. He still hasn't forgotten his goal. Find the person who murdered his parents and take that flaming monster down.
He just has one small thing to do first. Save all of humanity.
Team Spirit is Book 2 of Behind the Wall, $0.99 on Kindle right now. amazon.com/dp/B0BTBGFBD9
Friday question. What's on your weekend reading pile, and how realistic is that pile?
Mine is very optimistic.

Look at how handsome BOBO is, can you share him please? 🙏🙏🙏
🆘No One has come for very handsome Bobo!💔
He’s in great danger at deadly, Apple Valley Animal Shelter, in Apple Valley , CA‼️
Bobo is a 4 year old , neutered , GSD. He’s said to be friendly , loves people. “Dog walked well on a leash and happily greeted all staff and volunteers, he leans into people while they are petting him.
He is very food motivated. He loves to give kisses and just wants attention not a big fan of toys.”
Please go and adopt Bobo or offer to foster him so a rescue can pull him. Fostering is free through a rescue , if you live in Southern California.
Please share Bobo. This shelter gets very little foot traffic. The dogs there depend on us on social media to get their faces out there. Thank you 🙏🐾
