Is AI helping us think, or thinking for us?
"Is the insight being evoked out of the person, or is the model doing all the interpretation and handing it back?"
Chase Chick, CEO of Gray Sky AI, in an exclusive interview with @AiNewsDotCom on AI dependence, epistemic colonization, and why more friction is not automatically more agency.

Okay, not another "SEO is dying" post. But hear me out. I ran across someone who said that they're worried about the future of SEO. Here's my response:
I have the unfortunate, or fortunate ability to respond to this with a completely different perspective. I've literally been doing SEO since 1996, way before Google even existed.
SEO is not dying, it never has been, and never will.
What you're focused on is the "right now" or, let's say, the last few years. But you need to look at the big picture here. There was actually a time where search engines and SEO existed before Google existed. And there will be a time where Google, as we know it, is a completely different Google. After all, Google was very different back in 2004 than what it is today. Very different.
Why SEO will never go away? Well, you may leave the industry, like so many have done, because you are not able or willing to ADAPT to the changes.
I don't want to sound selfish here.
It's not about you or me. In fact, what is definite is that "digital marketing", "online marketing", "internet marketing", "search marketing", whatever you want to call it, changes because the internet changes.
5 years ago we weren't talking about AI. There was no ChatGPT, no Bing AI, no Meta AI. If you're going to survive as an SEO in the SEO industry, then you must adapt and change how you're doing SEO. It's not about keywords anymore, and you need to start thinking and doing SEO based in this new "entity" world.
If you're still doing the old style keyword SEO, then you're already behind and you should be focusing on "Entity SEO" instead. Just like the changes with keyword density. Sure, there was a time where if we had the perfect keyword density of a keyword phrase on our page that we'd rank higher. But that's changed.
What's constant in the SEO world is that there's going to be change. Sure, Google's taking more of our content, using it in different ways to benefit them. That's expected. But there's also going to be a time when Google as we know it now isn't the same Google. When Google's broken up by the US FTC, then it will be different. It's already different because of AI.
SEO is not going away. In fact, the best SEOs are ones who can adapt to the changes that occur, constantly be learning, and help our clients make their websites more "searchable" and "findable" on the web.
Website owners don't have the time, nor should they spend the time, to keep up with all the changes in the industry. That's an SEO's job, and that's why SEO isn't going away anytime soon.

Luka Doncic is 4th among guards in defensive rating. Allows just 0.85ppp on 34%FG in one-on-one defensive isolation, 8th in steals per game, leads all guards with 8.6 rebounds per game, and consistently guards 1-5. You can’t discredit all of this.
Luka Doncic is a good defender.
