“Violent crime continues to trend downward in Dallas, building on the progress reflected in a year-to-year comparison. Behind these numbers are fewer victims and families affected by violence. We remain focused on sustaining that progress through targeted enforcement, community partnerships, and our violent crime reduction strategy.”

Domestic Violence Awareness & Safety💜
Domestic violence is not always physical. It can also be emotional, verbal, sexual, financial, or psychological abuse.
Recognize the signs. Controlling behavior, threats, isolation from loved ones, constant humiliation, and financial control are all warning signs of abuse.
Trust yourself. If a relationship makes you feel afraid, trapped, or constantly unsafe, your feelings matter. Abuse is never your fault.
Create a safety plan. If it is safe to do so, identify a trusted person, a safe place to go, and a way to access essential documents, medications, and emergency contacts.
Reach out for support. Talk to someone you trust or contact a domestic violence advocate who can help you explore your options without judgment.
Support survivors with compassion. Listen without blaming, respect their choices, protect their privacy, and remind them that they are not alone.
💜 Share this post. Your awareness could help someone find the support they need.
