If @CityofDallas approves the Preston/Royal zoning case Tuesday, it will be a flagrant act of betrayal of the constituents. It will signal to every resident of Dallas that they don't care about democracy and the will of the people means nothing.

It's appalling that the victory of one party or another means that a private citizen and his businesses, none of which have been accused of breaking the law, would suddenly be targeted by the government. That's pure Third World and should outrage everyone. latimes.com/business/story/2…
outdated the day it opened. parking and surrounding areas carved up by Perot, immediate fighting/acrimony over parking/concessions/lawsuits; had everyone had all the skin in the game, it likely would not have been built and destined to be a tractor pull/rapper venue with unleasable apartment complexes surrounding. Oh, and the $3MM we gave costco to build on Churchill doesn't count, they would have built there anyway (See HEB on Hillcrest)...this exercise is good to rehash to affirm the voters' rejection of giving more money to these feckless bureaucrats. @caraathome @Johnyalamo

I voted for Romney but not enthusiastically. In hindsight I wish I had left it blank. Total squish.

‘Ol Mittens Romney.
Can’t believe I so enthusiastically voted for that weasel in ‘12.

Reid Hoffman not being named gave the whole game away.
Examples of successful subsidized projects? Will hang up and listen @caraathome @dallasenfuego

I don't necessarily agree. I think well targeted subsidization can be a great benefit to the @CityOfDallas and jumpstart things in areas that needed.
But I will also agree that that sentiment has been taken advantage of and has had lack of oversight.
Hi to the people who voted for Democrats… let me explain to you what just happened today.
The stock market just crashed hard. The Nasdaq dropped over 5%, the S&P fell more than 4%, and trillions of dollars disappeared in one day. Investors sold because they believe the Democrats who just won will slow down AI and block new data centers.
AI has been one of the main things driving the economy and stock market higher. When people think that growth is about to get slowed or paused, they pull their money out. That’s exactly what you’re seeing.
Now, here’s the part a lot of people miss. The same politicians promising free healthcare for everyone just made investors think the big growth engine is getting throttled.
Healthcare costs money. A lot of money. That money comes from taxes on a growing economy and from the wealth that growth creates. If you slow the economy down, there is less money to tax and less wealth to go around.
You can’t hand out free healthcare (or anything else) when you’ve just made it harder for the country to produce the money that pays for it.
That’s what happened today. The market is reacting to the idea that growth is about to get restricted. And growth is what funds everything else.
Isn’t socialism great? 😬
wow.

Not confirmed, but don't be surprised if the Democrats' TxLege House replaces the prayer with a Land Acknowledgment and includes a pledge to the LGBTQ+ trans-pedo flag.

💥NEW: Alan Dershowitz says Incoming Dem House Oversight Chair Robert Garcia's "LAWYER UP" threat is "ILLEGAL"💥
"If they are challenged in Court, the Chairman's statement will be OBVIOUS EVIDENCE of a motivation by Democrats to get Republicans!"
Garcia pledged before the Midterms that he would pursue a retribution agenda if Democrats regained power.
Immediately after they won, he made it clear it was not just a campaign promise.
Garcia's brazenness may end up being the downfall of his lawfare.

🚨 JUST IN: President Trump just EMERGED in the Oval Office with a red "VETO" hat on the Resolute Desk to sign a document ensuring the Oval Office and Cabinet room are a LANDMARK that can't be demolished by future presidents
Good.

RESIGNATION: Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon announced she'd be returning to private practice earlier this year. The plan, communicated to White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles before the midterms, was to submit her resignation to Todd Blanche this week. Dhillon's tenure was exceptionally productive, with many huge wins. President Trump will have a very hard time finding someone as good to fill her shoes.
