Here is a collection of great work for Art years 7-9. Some more colour wheels, creating your own paints from things around your home like flowers and ketchup and year 9 were asked to recreate an artist self portrait.

Lots of reseach into the question "does retrieval practice work" is actually asking "if you are regularly reminded are you more likely to remember!" Surprised that the research has not been focussed on actual learning and understanding rather than memory. educationendowmentfoundation…

Marking that involved giving all students the same 'model answer' in response to homework, proved marginally more effective than teacher marked work in a study of 186 sci students on university courses, but was liked much less by the students. Interesting to try at ks3-5.

.@EddieHughes4WN how to improve mental health of LGBT young people? Niazy @METROCharity schools must 'usualise' LGBT identity. Health; young people say long waiting lists, high thresholds. Find it difficult to trust services to be respectful of their identity #LGBTHealth

Niazy @METROCharity need to include younger trans voices in conversations, e.g. re Gender Identity clinics. One young person we work with described huge wait time and then first meeting as 'an hour of verbal abuse' #LGBTHealth
