One of the great moments of my life…not sure where the 20 years went!
MLB
@MLBOct 14
The 2003 Tigers lost 119 games, a then-American League record that had stood since 1916. Just three years later, Detroit finished with 95 wins and ended a 19-year Postseason drought The remarkable turnaround reached its climax OTD 20 years ago, when Magglio Ordóñez crushed a walk-off 3-run homer to send the @Tigers to the World Series

Seriously, @TBSNetwork? It literally happened 2 years ago. It isn’t that hard to check this stuff…

Did he just say this is the first time two AL Central teams have met in the ALDS? Where does he get this information?

The Chicago White Sox are 1 win away from the ALCS. They lost 223 combined games in the two seasons before this one. Damn

The 2024 @tigers won a wild card series @astros 2 years ago with this lineup. Then they were a run from making the ALCS. Baseball makes no sense most of the time, especially in small snapshots.

Mathematically speaking, this is insane. Did they anger the baseball gods or what?

I don’t really understand someone who cares about the @tigers wanting to rename it “Tiger Stadium”. That was already a place & it’s gone forever. Also, if you were expecting the bank to just waive their naming rights, you think way too highly of the average American business.

We are very proud of our team’s academic achievements this year. For the first time in our history, we were named “Academic All-State” as a team for D1. This is awarded to 5 teams in each division. Congrats to our players and families!

The Spurs know how to TAKE the lead, they just don't know how to HOLD the lead. And that's really the most important part of the lead: the holding
