A proud day for West Texas and the honor of a lifetime to welcome President @realDonaldTrump to my hometown of Lubbock today.
I’ve been traveling thousands of miles across Texas working to turn out Republicans this election, but when I heard President Trump was coming to Lubbock, I knew I had to be here to give him the West Texas welcome he deserves.
The President’s visit shines a spotlight on a region where the American Dream is alive and well. Our farmers produce the food and fiber that sustain our nation. Our ranchers raise the beef Americans love. The Permian and Delaware basins power America. And we’re home to the greatest university in the country, Texas Tech.
West Texas represents the very best of America. And the people who make it great deserve a voice in shaping its future. This election is our chance to make our voices heard and help write the next chapter of Texas’ story.

President Trump was amazing in Lubbock Texas today. We appreciated him coming and he looked genuinely happy with the crowd. It was a star studded cast with @marcorubio, Howard Lutnick, Steve Wyckoff!!!, @RepArrington @SellForTexas19, @tedcruz , @DanPatrick , @mayes_middleton , @Burrows4TX , @electcharles, @howardlutnick, @CodyC64 @CreightonForTX @JDBruegel @sevanstx Jennifer Wilson , @MarkMcBrayer4 Tim Green Jordan Rackler Chris Winn Ken Adams and a Rep John Smithee sighting. I’m sure I left out many. And then thousands more
Had some people upset about me posting about Trump getting his Guns Up in Lubbock.
But don't you see that's what's great about college sports? How transcendent of differences the love of a school can be - and how important that is?
The real Texas political story today was watching progressive Longhorn fans absolutely crash out over Colt McCoy appearing with Trump.
I don't care your politics, but the President of the United States hyping your school and flashing your hand sign is just pretty darn cool.

Patriots in Lubbock were in awe as Air Force One touched down at their airport — and even the local news reporter was excited:
"I'm getting emotional — there's just so many people out here. The excitement is contagious!" 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
