Castle views, old stone streets, and the kind of city that makes you slow down a little. Heidelberg felt like stepping into a Romantic-era painting tonight.

Finally doing the full Lake Como villa tour properly… Bellini writing operas, Liszt arriving with scandal, Verdi escaping society, and somewhere between all that, George Clooney quietly raising property values for the rest of humanity. 🇮🇹🌊🏛️
Lake Como Part II: Villa Melzi.
The kind of place where composers came for inspiration… and occasionally left with a broken heart, a scandal, or an opera. 🇮🇹🎭🌊
POV: you finally sit down for lunch in Italy and immediately enter negotiations with the local mafia. 🐦🍝

Still can’t believe this place across Lake Como used to be our music school. Now it just sits there looking like the setting of a Bond film while the rest of us still have PTSD from juries and sight reading. 🇮🇹🎹🌊

Sad to hear of the passing of Ruth Slenczynska. A remarkable life at the keyboard.
I had the privilege of meeting her in her Manhattan flat in 2019 during a concert tour. Grateful for that brief moment with her.
You’re not just learning pieces, you’re building instincts, and that takes time. Much of what you practice won’t show up right away, until it suddenly does
And don’t just imitate. That’s only the start. Real growth begins when you ask why the music works, and make it your own
