Excited to share the news that I have officially joined @WeeklyVillager as the newest staff writer. I look forward to experiencing everything Portage County has to offer!
This time last year, I started out as the new sports writer at @ChagrinTimes. Words can't express how grateful I am to have completed my first year with the paper. It's been an unbelievable ride and I'm excited to see what another year holds.
I'd also like to give a S/O to CVT photographers John Reid and @gsp1946 for all the hard work they've done in covering games this year. I know I've asked a lot but they've both truly gone above and beyond
I'd also like to thank @SolonAthletics, @HawkenAthletics, @GALancerAD, @ChagrinAD, @KHSBomberSports, @toppernation, @OHS_Athletics, @WestGAthletics, and @UnivSchoolSport for welcoming me to the high school beat with open arms. I look forward to another year of coverage
Congrats to @topperfb winning their second straight state title. I'd like to give thanks to @toppernation for allowing me to cover the 2021 season and @SMitchHewitt for always being available early Saturday morning for interviews.

Last but definitely not least I also want to give a shoutout to @illibuck9 for giving me my first taste of covering high school sports while I did some writing for @clevelanddotcom.
I also want to give thanks to @sports_kee for letting me cover high school basketball. I was only there for a short time but it was an invaluable amount of time as well
To all the coaches in the area schools I just listed: I know I have some big shows to fill by replacing @TonysTakeGIE but I am eager to start working with you and build strong working relationships.
Also would like to show my appreciation to @mpodo for giving me a chance to freelance for both @NHPreps and @MJournalSports. The experience I received writing for those two papers was invaluable
Big thanks to the folks at @Official_IBI for giving me my first writing opportunity out of college. Also a shoutout to @ALeebs18 and @bbournival for all the advice they gave me down in Akron about the business
I’ll be responsible for covering high school sports for the following schools: Kenston, Chardon, West Geauga, Orange, Chagrin Falls, Solon, Hawken, Gilmour and University School.
All I’ve ever wanted to do was write about sports since I was a kid and now I get to do that. Big thanks to the CVT for giving me this opportunity.
The cat’s out of the bag now. I’m thrilled to announce that I have accepted the position of high school sports writer for the Chagrin Valley Times.
