The Equal Pay madness continues. Tesco have lost an appeal to the Supreme Court. Wouldn't be surprised if this pushes up prices in supermarkets soon

This is T.S Eliot writing in 1939. He said we are in danger of defining ourselves merely by what we are not. Nothing has changed. Christianity offers us a way to define ourselves positively.
Less than half of the population is Christian. Why plan to build your country on foundations which people have no interest in? Or are you attempting to revive Christianity? Either way hardly key to Reform, whose focus should be correcting political mistakes of the last 25 years.

The cost of missing economic growth is *enormous*. Yet most people don't understand it. Until it's made a problem in the mind of voters, politicians won't take it seriously. Me, in @TheCriticMag 👇

The BBC documentary - Being Muslim After 9/11 - inaccurately quotes the latest Home Office hate crime statistics. The 46% is a figure for the perceived religion of the victim; i.e they are perceived to be Muslim. That is very different to what the BBC assert below: '46% of religious hate crimes targeted Muslims'. Historic FOI responses obtained show that 'Islamophobic' hate crime as a flag recorded by the MET police, also captures victims who are - Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Hindus, Atheists, Agnostics and those of no recorded faith. Have requested the @BBC make a correction to the misleading statement. Moreover, it is frankly remarkable that an hour long documentary on post 9/11's impact on Muslims, ignores the fact that the first person killed in retribution for 9/11 was in fact a Sikh, or the first place attacked in retribution for 7/7 was a gurdwara in Kent. BBC bias at its best. 1/2

For 70 years women were *more* conservative than men. There any many reasons for the collapse of society today. Women having the right to vote is not one of them.
Name a bigger mistake for society…

A completely underappreciated £5 billion infrastructure project.
Good news. Investment in infrastructure makes things better. Who knew? We should try it again one day.

Nottingham was 6th for modern languages in the 2021 REF and is the only university in East Midlands providing language courses. West has never apologised. She is now paid £338,250 at Leeds. Perhaps blame should be laid on mental business decisions, not the free market.
