I really enjoyed sitting down with Daniel Thomas earlier today at the @FT Metals and Mining Summit in London… 20 minutes went by in seconds. With critical minerals so fundamental to national security and defence, maybe next year the organisers will rename it to the FT Metals & Defence Summit 😉 @ftlive @DanielThomasLDN

#TheOdyssey leads the box office charge for a record 2026 ft.com/content/0daddbdf-775c… via @ft An honor to be quoted alongside industry leaders in excellent reporting from @DanielThomasLDN - Data compiled by #Rentrak shows that the summer box office is on course to be the best since before the pandemic in 2019, with an estimated $2.5bn in sales already since the first Friday in May. This is about 7 per cent higher than last year and only just short of the $2.7bn generated in the same period in 2019.  “Through May and June [it has been] extraordinarily strong with each month generating over a billion dollars in domestic [US] revenue,” said Paul Dergarabedian, @RentrakMoviesUS @RentrakGlobal head of marketplace trends. He added that @UniversalPics’ @odysseymovie was “a film that looms large on the horizon prepping to hit big screens” after a summer dominated by family hits such as Disney’s #ToyStory 5 and horror movies such as #Backrooms.
