for up to 6 months after you leave a company you should still have access to #random in slack
AI agents come in 5 levels, choose wisely:
Level 1 - tells you there's a problem
Level 2 - tells you there's a problem and what caused it
Level 3 - tells you there's a problem, what caused it, and options to fix it
Level 4 - tells you there's a problem, what caused it, options to fix it, and which one they'd pick
Level 5 - doesn’t tell you anything but you trust to figure out there was a problem, fix it, and future proof’d it

Remember when I said I was building a generational team for a generational company?
I’ve joined @trybasis to grow the Labs team alongside @mitch_troy, @falcone_design, and @simoncorry, where we're exploring what emerging technologies could become and how they might change the way we work, make, and live.
ANNOUNCMENT: I've joined @trybasis to work on Basis Labs
When agents write trillions of lines of code, solve open math problems and run our companies, what do we become?
I've always believed the answer is expanding what we're capable of
What inspires me most about what the Basis team have built is that they chose to expand what accountants can do with AI, not take it away. Today about half of the top 25 US accounting firms use Basis
I'm excited to work with @ethanproia, @falcone_design, @simoncorry, @mitch_troy and the wider Basis team on experimenting with:
- human-agent interfaces
- new kinds of models
- long-horizon agents
- fun benchmarks
- what AI means for society
Excited to share some of what we've been cooking!
heads up, @DoubleDiamondHQ starts in an hour (6 pm) at the bench
not me giving my hermes unfettered access to my chase account
SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, including some attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions, sources told Axios.
The findings have alarmed banking executives, who are racing to restrict access to their systems as AI moves at a velocity faster than financial institutions can respond, multiple industry and bank executives told Axios.
Several banks are now preparing for worst-case and even “day after” scenarios, including how to rapidly secure or restore customer accounts if things go wrong, the people said.
Several bank executives told Axios they're struggling to distinguish between human users and AI agents. One executive said banks also struggle to determine whether agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior.
