The timing of this, just ahead of elections in Israel and the US, is not ideal

🇫🇷 Columbia University Apartheid Divest (CUAD), the student group behind the 2024 Gaza encampment at Columbia, sent the French high school students leading the protests sweeping France a list of lessons from the U.S. campus movement, "including what we failed to do." The group urged them to follow the money and trace "the supply chains that connect a classroom in Saint-Denis to a mine in the Sahel," then "disrupt them." It admitted that "the Student Intifada's downfall was our failure to widen our terrain of struggle beyond the campus gates," and told the students to "link the lycées to the factories, the factories to the ports, the ports to the ships." It warned them against the "liberal trap," recalling that "by the second week of our encampments, liberals had shifted the conversation away from Gaza to what protest is allowed to look like." It also told them not to let "union executives, party spokespersons, or televised commentators translate your rage," and to protect those taking the greatest risks, because "a movement that abandons its front line to save its respectability will soon find itself with neither." Writing as "veterans of the Student Intifada," CUAD said it saw its own struggle in students "blocking school gates, wearing keffiyehs and hoisting Palestinian flags." The revolt began in the working-class, largely immigrant suburbs of Seine-Saint-Denis and Val-de-Marne, where, the letter says, "the police who patrol your gates are the descendants of those who patrolled the Casbah," a reference to French colonial rule in Algeria. "Do not demand a better future from those who are actively burning the planet and plotting your demise," it said. "Do not negotiate the terms of your future. Liberate the present."
To the brave youth in France, from veterans of the Student Intifada at Columbia University Please circulate widely

Since she's decided to relitigate this: McMorrow had been polling at a distant third for over a month before the fake Wedgewood poll dropped on June 28th, probably because she was doing disgusting stuff like going on CNN to blame El-Sayed for attempted synagogue shootings. 🥴
Asked to respond to Hasan Piker's assertion that her bigoted smear campaign backfired, Mallory McMorrow inexplicably tries to link Piker to the attempted attack on Temple Israel Synagogue, while the host flags down a producer in apparent panic. 👀

The documentary we’re releasing tomorrow on our YouTube channel, The Closetocracy, is about a gay, closeted US Senator. The issue isn’t someone’s sexuality, but there is a serious national security issue. One of the incidents was highly illegal - and on tape!
Just got a sneak peek of this thing. I gotta say, pretty compelling stuff here

I wish I could put up a million dollar bounty for someone to catch Dana Bash on a hot mic saying what we all know she says about Muslims when the cameras are off.
To be clear: the Republican guest said Abdul El-Sayed goes to bed in "Bin Laden's jersey" and CNN host Dana Bash said nothing, not a word of condemnation of her Republican guest - only the Democratic guest Guy Cecil pushed back, on his own. At the end of the segment, Bash said she "appreciated" the Republican guest coming on. Is it because she shares his bigoted view of El-Sayed being a Bin Laden sympathizer? Either way, it's insane how normalized the Islamophobia has become on mainstream cable news.

🚨NEW ANALYSIS: GOP Crossover Voters Were Likely The Difference In Wisconsin Dem Primary🚨 Over the past two months I've been analyzing the results of the Wisconsin Democratic Gov primary election, and I now believe there’s enough evidence to support the theory that enough Republican voters crossed over to vote in the primary to stop Francesca Hong from winning. Given the extremely small margin of victory for Crowley (3,673 votes), it would only take a few thousand voters to make the difference in that primary, which I do believe took place given the evidence uncovered in this analysis. I don’t make this claim lightly, nor do I recommend anyone take this analysis as a sign to support Tom Tiffany over David Crowley in the November election given the threat Tiffany represents to Wisconsin. But I do believe it’s important for Wisconsin Democrats and David Crowley to recognize this and embrace the policies that Democratic primary voters supported through Francesca Hong’s platform. (An example of this being today when Crowley announced he would be adjusting his data center policy to further mirror Francesca Hong's popular moratorium, although not a full adoption of her policy. Moves like this will help consolidate support in this blue-wave election year and take away attack lines from Tiffany, who is still trying to claim he is more populist on data centers than Crowley). In this analysis, we will be answering three key questions to support the theory that Republican crossover voters swung the election to Crowley. 1) Did the Wisconsin Governor’s primary turnout levels support the possibility of crossover voting? 2) Did Crowley’s winning coalition match with potential crossover Republican patterns? 3) Are there specific election voting patterns to directly support Republican crossover voting? Let’s dive in (1/6)

Hasan Piker calls out @MinnesotaDFL on their hypocrisy. He's fucking correct: "When some of those DFL-ers were awfully quiet about ICE coming into their state and attacking their Somali constituents, attacking all of their constituents, I was there. THEY were not. They didn't say a damn fucking thing, just like they didn't say a damn thing when Ilhan Omar was being prosecuted and persecuted by the current administration. It's people like that who are chirping about this appearance. If you're a Democrat and at this stage, leaning into insane right-wing attacks, concocted by the Republican Party, and you can't find it within yourself to at least be partisan in this moment, the least you can do is shut the fuck up. Clearly you had no problem shutting the fuck up when your colleague, your peer, another Democrat from your state was under attack by Donald Trump. You had no words to say then, but you have a lot of words to say now. Please, shut the fuck up just like how you did when Ilhan Omar's house was being raided."
