Proud of what has been achieved over the past few seasons.
Grateful for the players, staff and experiences along the way.
Looking forward to the next challenge in a high-performance football environment.

Still feels strange seeing another coach in the dugout. After watching Obsession you understand it was time for Pep to have a break. Football can be all consuming. The absolute GOAT.
Success has a funny way of becoming the expectation.
When winning becomes normal, itโs easy to forget that it was never inevitable.
Sometimes you only appreciate the people behind sustained success once itโs gone.

I bumped into ex-Metrostars coach @DannyGraystone at Oakleigh vs @SMFC (we got to know eachother on an @fcgreenandgold podcast ๐), heโs looking for his next head coaching role, & he gave me the impression heโs after an ambitious club.
IMO, NPL 1 clubs around ๐ฆ๐บ & #OFCProLeague clubs should have Danny on their radar. He delivered excellence at the #MetroStars & made the QFs of the 2025 #AustralianChampionship on a budget that would be half of VIC & NSW clubs.
I also really like his temperament & personality, & in our brief dealings I have found him to be a gentleman.
Good luck Danny, Iโm looking forward to seeing where you end up next!

Zlatan Ibrahimoviฤ calls American fans the softest fans he ever played for because they didnโt care about losing until the playoffs
"Most of my career I played in Italy, France, Spain, England, then I came over to US. I think US had the softest fans"
"when we were losing games, they were like don't worry, we just need to reach the playoffs. and I'm like what do you mean don't worry? in my world I am worried"
"if you think about my contract, I get paid now. I don't get paid when the playoff starts"
