Suspected it would be this kind of announcement when they teased yesterday, and marks the last of the 3 crown dependencies to launch a women's club side after Guernsey and Jersey
Will be an interesting what level all 3 will find themselves after a few years

๐ฌ๐ง ๐ โSuch were the size constraints of the clubsโ stadiums in the mid-90s that the NFL goalposts [for the London Monarchs American football team] stood within the stands at each end of Stamford Bridgeโฆโ - had to actually look it up, wow! ๐ณ

It's always a bit of a secret of who is actually active and who isn't, suppose it helps keep the mystery of who's gonna participate if you don't know which 8 of the 40 "members" have actually paid this year
First Canadian Premier League team to win the Voyareurs' Cup, beating MLS side CF Montreal.
Forge FC, based in Hamilton, Ontario also the first CPL team I saw back in 2019 for their debut season, 7 years later and they're officially the best team in the country!
Forge FC are Canadian Champions!
The first Canadian Premier League club to win the Voyageurs' Cup with an upset over CF Montrรฉal in the final โ and former #CanMNT man Manjrekar Jame with the winning PK.
Great sendoff for recently-retired Kyle Becker, too.
FIFA reportedly backing more regional competitions in AFC, clearly looking for more control and money than they currently get from just the World Cup

Every year I tell myself that I will travel to the Basque Country or Catalonia to watch their teams play against FIFA sides but they always announce them fairly last minute, but one of these days!

Have strong opinions of the excessive use of AI by CONIFA these days, but this is perhaps the earliest they've managed to actually drop details of a tournament to the point it's almost impressive if the bar wasn't starting so low. 1 wild card slot will be interesting
Great news for Rotherham United Women, the AI slop could have been skipped is my only criticism
Rotherham United Women FC has unveiled a ยฃ9.5m vision for a 2,000-capacity stadium, national womenโs football centre of excellence and community sports village.

Fine, I'll go to Chicago for the WWC
Chicago walked away from hosting menโs World Cup matches in 2026, but the city has now entered the race to host matches at the womenโs World Cup in 2031.
The U.S., along with Mexico, Jamaica and Costa Rica, is the sole bid to host the womenโs edition of the tournament in 2031. Chicago has now confirmed its entry into host city bidding, while Portland has also submitted paperwork to U.S. Soccer.

The NSL gonna be bigger than the CPL in a fraction of the time while opening in the exact markets the CPL should be growing in but struggling
I'd be lying if I didn't have something like that already in the works (without the all-expenses-paid part)
But got some games to tick off before the end of the year
Playing outside the heartlands might actually help grow the sport, Japan has grown massively since hosting in 2019 and Spain is already one of the strongest European teams outside the 6 Nations

With radio silence on the topic we can assume they'll be no CONIFA Men's WFC in 2027 (but I'm aiming to go up for 1 day of the women's WFC)
So the question is how confident are people that one will be held in 2028? 10 years after the London tournament
