Local residents have set up a petition to oppose an increase in parking at the proposed Warneford Park develpment. The plans create an additional 230 car parking spaces, which residents say are likely to result in at least 500 extra car trips a day. actionnetwork.org/petitions/…

The plans also include 240 more car parking spaces. Making a mockery of the university's commitment to Vision Zero, as that will increase traffic at the junctions where Ling Felce and Jennifer Wong were killed, making safe redesigns impossible.

A study of residents’ perceptions of the East Oxford Low Traffic Neighbourhoods has found “overall moderate levels of support” and that residents are now “using their cars less and walking and cycling more for short journeys”. The study was carried out by Oxford Brookes.

Disinformation alert: The Independent Oxford Alliance are spreading a chart that claims to be the division of Oxford City votes. This is false data. The true picture is that the Labour, Greens and Lib Dems all have a greater share of the popular vote in Oxford than the IOA.
More nonsense from Cohsat. In Oxford City Labour, IOA, Independent, Conservativs & Reform all opposed the traffic filters. A convincing majority against in the areas affected the most. We know the lobbyist groups based in the also student heavy Central East Oxford like their roads closed, but it’s hurting the rest of Oxford. Shame they’re happy for that to continue.

The consultation asks for feedback on the “goals and methods” of reimagining city centre streets. OxPlay says that although OCC proposes “public squares, widened pavements and seating, playgrounds only get a passing mention”. Closing date is 23 March. letstalk.oxfordshire.gov.uk/…

I need people to understand how difficult it is to get an NIH grant. You spend months writing a proposal, following strict guidelines that include a detailed multiyear budget, bios of everyone on your team, plans for participant safety & ethical conduct. Then you send it off -1/n
