Question:
Regarding ofcom rule 5.4, who would be regarded as the person providing the service?
Presumably it couldn't be the holding company as that's not a person and would be a massive loophole if it is.

We need an honest debate about welfare, not one built on myths and misinformation.
The repeated claim that people receive PIP for mild anxiety simply isn't true. PIP is assessed on someone's ability to carry out everyday tasks, not on their condition or diagnosis.

U.S Senator, Abdul El-Sayed defends trans rights in new interview:
“I believe in rights. And even though somebody might use rights that you don’t understand, you never mean to use yourself, you still got to show up and fight for those rights.”“The minute you ascent to government taking anybody’s rights, whether you use them or you don’t, you are assenting to government taking everybody’s rights.

1/6 Michigan's @AbdulElSayed is elected as the #USA's first ever #Muslim Senator.
The Spectator wants you to believe that his victory is "the dawn of #American sectarianism."
It does this by omitting key context.
Here's what we found🧵

Now Russell Brand's been convicted of rape, we need to talk about Sylvie Berki. Because she can't speak for herself.
In 2014, Ms Berki said she'd been assaulted by Russell Brand.
But if she talks about it, even now, she risks jail.

His first action in this role is to lie about his role.
He’s not an elected official and he’s not a shadow anything. It’s just embarrassing.
There’s 41 former military MPs in the Commons, and they don’t lie about being Ministers or Shadow Ministers.

I just did a right-wing show where I suggested Republicans lost because they no longer have any grip on reality, and one of the panelists started screaming at me about how James Talarico wants to trans my kid. I don’t think they understand why they lost quite yet.

In March, Richard Tice said that if Reform were in power “we would be helping the Americans and the Israelis in any way they saw appropriate”.
The war has been a disaster for America and the UK.
Yesterday Trump suffered the electoral consequences of his mistake.
The lesson? Always put the safety and prosperity of your people first👇

The quoted March post claims Nigel Farage "immediately ruled out" UK involvement in the Iran war, but he urged backing US strikes and base access the day they began.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney delivers a blunt message to Russia:
“You cannot bomb Ukrainian cities and then send your junior players to Alberta to play hockey as if you were civilised people.
No Russian or Belarusian teams at the World Junior Championship. Not under your flags. Not under any other flags. Period.”

Worth remembering today: There is a committed industry of election deniers, motivated by politics/money, devoted to shouting "fraud!" They will seek to flood the zone today, to create the impression that there is a lot of smoke in the hope you might believe there is a fire.

Britain didn't lead the fight against slavery. It followed those who had spent decades fighting to end it.
Enslaved Africans resisted and revolted. Abolitionists challenged the powerful interests profiting from their suffering. Haiti's enslaved population rose up in 1791 and won independence in 1804.
Britain finally abolished its slave trade in 1807, but slavery itself continued across British colonies until the 1830s.
Amd yes, the Royal Navy subsequently helped suppress the international slave trade, hut Britain had spent centuries making vast profits from that trade.
And when slavery was finally abolished, who received £20 million in compensation?
The slave owners! Not the enslaved.
Celebrating Britain as the saviour while overlooking centuries of British involvement in slavery makes a mockery of the suffering, resistance and courage of those who actually fought for freedom.

You may want to reflect on that. Miliband served in our military during World War II, escaped Nazi-occupied Europe as a refugee aged 16 before joining the war effort, served on HMS Valorous in the North Sea, escorting convoys, fought in Normandy D-Day landings, among other events

Reform promised to bring a new kind of politics to Suffolk.
Now one of their most senior councillors has been sacked from his Cabinet role after sharing a sexualised AI-generated image of a female colleague.
Whatever our political differences, everyone in public life deserves dignity and respect.
This behaviour has absolutely no place in politics.
