I’m told there’s more to come soon, but for now here’s the official statement from Binance to Fox on the suspected massive hack today: "Binance has confirmed a security incident and our teams are working around the clock to resolve it. User funds remain safe. As a precaution, all deposits and withdrawals are temporarily suspended while our security teams conduct checks, secure wallet infrastructure, and trace affected assets, with the close support of our law enforcement and industry partners. Users will not bear the financial impact of this incident. Binance will cover all losses. We are grateful to partners who have moved quickly to support these efforts. For clarity, the current verified total frozen assets is $3 billion. This figure will be updated as more information is verified. We will only share confirmed information and will provide further updates through official Binance channels.”

🚨Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on President Obama mocking the Cheesecake Factory: “This is the man who built the museum and it looks like Darth Vader’s tomb.” Bessent also told @FoxBusiness' @FBNNicoleMac he frequents the Cheesecake Factory and always orders the French dip cheeseburger — and suggested the “Martha’s Vineyard set” should “give it a try.”

Hackers were already attacking hours before anyone even announced the PHP bug, according to Cloudflare's CEO
Some stats on #php2shell. In the 10 hours before it was publicly announced, across the @Cloudflare network we saw thousands of attempts to exploit it. That jumped to tens of thousands in the 45 minutes post announcement, hundreds of thousands within 2 hours, and millions now.

Yes, there is an emergency fix for the PHP bug affecting up to 70% of the world’s websites.   Per the NSA: PHP released their open-source software patch on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. Additional software vendors may also publish patches once available, making it imperative to monitor updates closely.   If you run a site on WordPress, Magento, or Joomla—or host through GoDaddy, Bluehost, or AWS—your server may run on PHP.

This is just the beginning. OpenAI’s warning today: expect a lot more hidden web flaws to be exposed soon. The bug affecting 70% of websites was sitting there for years—AI just found it first—and OpenAI says we're going to see way more of this in the coming months.
