Why does it look like Julius did a photoshoot just for this book cover? And as a Pisces I feel like he would 😭😂
My last journalism project, on its way to book shops now! “Malema: Money. Power. Patronage.” is the story of #JuliusMalema, his cash and his politics, co-written with @RedMicah. Book launches in Joburg and CT soon!

Father's Day, and I always think of the sons and daughters of men, famous and not famous, whose fathers were taken away from them early in their lives. Here is Patrice Lumumba and his family on the last Father's Day that he celebrated with them.

Fantastic to see interventions that work. Even better when told by the beneficiary themselves. Well done on making it sustainable in the way you did. May the future hold even greater successes
Long post alert😫 In 2019, Palladium Group Ltd, implementing the Northern Uganda Transforming the Economy through Climate Smart Agriculture (NUTEC-MD) visited @OmiaLtd in Arua. I was asked how my business (in frame 1 then) could be facilitated to improve livelihoods of smallholder farmers in West Nile. Fast forward we signed a partnership agreement in March that year (renewed for another year in March, 2020). What did we agree to do together; 1. Extension services (at the outlet and at the farms ) 2. Radio Adverts and Talkshows to create awareness. 3. Introduction to key Manufacturers and importers of Agro Inputs in Uganda. 4. Acquired QuickBooks (now we have moved to @Odoo 5. Establish a network of agents to ensure last mile access to Agro Inputs. The agents hosted demo gardens for Hanson learning. 6. Enterprise Specific trainings at selected sub/counties 7. Developed our first website, business plan and operational Manuals Etc. This foundational partnership is all that we needed to reach to our customers and retain them. And later, we were able to successfully compete for other opportunities to partner with actors such as @OutboxHub @WashFellowship @USADF @WFPUgandaCD @SNVworld and @ayudaenaccion We have grown from that small shop in Arua to 3 locations in the same City, Adjumani, Yumbe, Zombo, Kiryandongo and Kampala. We employ over 34 young people directly, reached to over 30,000 farmers, over 60 agents in the rural areas and take in 15+ interns annually. This week, a team led by the Team Leader Palladium together with officials from @UKinUganda paid courtesy at our Kiryandongo outlet. We were very happy to see them. We have on our own sustained almost all the activities we started with them in 2019/2020. We are grateful. Support more young people to cause change in their communities.

As a billionaire takes £250 million of taxpayer money during a national crisis of poverty and hunger to throw himself a hat wearing party, remember the same ideology that claims some people are born kings and others subjects also says some are born masters and others slaves.

What a wonderful (short) thread. It has geese, sticks, tea and a life lesson. This is what I love about Twitter: the opportunity to learn random things from strangers. I will miss this most if the bird app dies – at Durbanville, South Africa
An estimated 49,000 geese were spotted at the Miyajimanuma marsh, Japan’s largest and northernmost stopover point for the migratory birds. asahi.com/sp/ajw/articles/14…

#MondayMotivation ( Wordy one this week) When people travel to the past, they worry about radically changing the present by doing something small. Few people think that they can radically change the future by doing something different in the present 🤔 #GoChangeTheFuture – at Bellville, South Africa

Uniquely SA calculations: Overnight slow cooker recipe says 3-4 hrs on high, up to 8 hrs on low... But there is 2 hours loadshedding at midnight. Do I put on high and get up to switch off? Or do I put on low and bargain on longer #Loadshedding? – at Durbanville, South Africa
