Unexplained charges. Vanishing resources. Costs nobody can account for.
Sounds like an X-File. It's usually just your AVD environment.
The truth rarely shows up on the invoice. It hides in oversized session hosts, profiles that keep growing and more golden images than anyone can track.
Join us this week on Thursday, Oct. 29, when Thomas Lahaussois and Chris Walker crack the case with seven low-investment, high-impact strategies that have helped organizations save about 12% on AVD costs on average, without sacrificing user experience.

Five problems were costing one utility company almost $3 million a year.
Not outages. Not breaches. Just everyday workspace issues quietly eating into productivity across 5,000 users.
The hard part wasn't fixing them. It was finding them.
With Stratusphere UX, their admins traced each problem to its root cause and ranked them by impact, so the biggest drains got fixed first.
The estimated payoff: almost $3 million a year in recovered uptime.
You can't fix what you can't see.

Your AVD bill went up again.
Nobody's quite sure why.
You're not alone. Plenty of organizations are watching AVD costs climb well past budget, and the causes rarely show up on the invoice. They hide in how session hosts are sized, how profiles grow and how many images your team maintains.
Fixing it doesn't mean ripping anything out.
Join us next week on October 29th where Thomas Lahaussois and Chris Walker will walk through seven low-investment, high-impact strategies that have helped organizations save about 12% on AVD costs on average, without sacrificing user experience.

Tried explaining your job at a family dinner lately?
"So you fix computers?"
Close enough.
There's a better place to talk about logon times, golden images and why that one profile keeps breaking.
The Liquidware Slack community is full of IT pros who already speak the language. Ask questions, trade fixes with peers and get answers straight from the Liquidware team.

Every new user group gets its own desktop image. That's how image sprawl starts.
Then every app update means rebuilding those images all over again.
Liquidware FlexApp separates applications from the Windows OS. Apps are packaged once and delivered on demand, so one image can serve far more users.
One large energy supplier found 381 apps that were strong FlexApp candidates across 7,100 users. Simplifying their updates saved an estimated $285,750 in maintenance.
Fewer images. Fewer rebuilds. Less time spent on work nobody sees.

Thousands of clinicians. A hard Citrix renewal deadline. Zero room for disruption at the point of care.
That was the starting point for a regional healthcare network moving its entire digital workspace from on-premises Citrix to Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop.
Several thousand concurrent users. Epic and other clinical apps that had to work on day one.
Legacy profile and app delivery approaches were too slow and too rigid for the cloud. So the team turned to Liquidware ProfileUnity and FlexApp.
The key shift: clinical apps, including Epic, attach at boot instead of at login. App delivery moves out of the login sequence entirely.
The result was logins under 20 seconds and a migration finished well ahead of the renewal deadline. Their senior IT leader said the team didn't have to give up performance to hit the timeline.

No one can tell you what's wrong with your desktop environment. You have to see it for yourself.
Not in a whitepaper. Not in a deck. Not in a vendor's idea of what your problem is. None of it lands the same way as seeing your own environment, with your own data.
Give one of our experts 30 minutes to walk through your desktop environment, whether that's app delivery, profile management, user experience, or endpoint troubleshooting.
When the meeting's done, we'll send you a $200 GlassesUSA gift card to use toward sunglasses, prescription, or smart glasses. Offer end 9/30.

Attackers are exploiting vulnerabilities before the patch exists.
Mandiant's 2026 M-Trends report puts the mean time to exploit at negative seven days. On average, the flaw is already being used in the wild before a fix is published.
Meanwhile, Verizon's 2026 DBIR found organizations take a median of 43 days to remediate a known exploited vulnerability. Only about a quarter of CISA's known exploited list ever gets fully patched.
That gap between minus seven and plus 43 is the real problem. And it's not caused by weak scanning or slow tickets. It's caused by what remediation actually requires on a Windows desktop: uninstall, clean up the leftovers, reinstall, reboot, repeat across thousands of machines, and hope the uninstall didn't leave something behind.
Our latest blog looks at why that architecture, not the patching process, is what caps how fast security teams can respond, and what changes when an application is layered onto a desktop instead of installed into it.

Registry keys, GPOs, printers, app settings: managing all of it usually means scripting everything together by hand before any of it works.
That's fine until a teammate needs to help manage it too, and now they're learning your scripts from scratch.
In this clip from our webinar on moving off Ivanti Workspace Control, we walk through how a single console brings it all together, from the context engine to app assignment, without turning your team into script writers.
With IWC reaching end-of-life in December, it's worth seeing what replacing it actually looks like. Full session linked below, including our conversation with former Ivanti Customer Support Manager Danny Lenting on the biggest differences between the two platforms.

Packaging three apps usually eats an afternoon. Doing it live, in 30 minutes, in front of an audience? That's a different level of confidence in your tooling.
This week, Jason E. Smith and Jack Smith are doing exactly that. No slides pretending to be a demo. Live FlexApp packaging, start to finish, on three or more apps.
If you've ever sat through a "demo" that was really just screenshots, this one's built to be the opposite.

Maintaining base images for 300 applications is hard enough on one platform. Sunstate Equipment was doing it across two: Citrix for field locations with low bandwidth, and on-prem PCs everywhere else.
Every new app meant touching both environments. Every update meant image sprawl. And their field teams, working in rough, remote conditions, still needed reliable access to their full application catalog.
Sunstate moved to Citrix Cloud Services on Azure and layered FlexApp on top, packaging applications separately from the base image so they could be delivered on demand, on any platform, without manual installs or image rot.
The result, in their own words from Senior Network Engineer Tom Strzyzewski: "I love that Liquidware Essentials gives me the ability to do everything I need to do for desktops in one place."
Complex, multi-platform environments do not have to mean complex application management.

A 45-minute login pushed one medical practice to a dangerous workaround: staff started logging in with a doctor's credentials before appointments, just to have a desktop ready in time.
That's not a hypothetical. It's something our team encountered firsthand, and it's a good example of what happens when login delays get bad enough. People stop tolerating the wait and start finding shortcuts, even ones with real security and compliance risk.
The math behind slow logins is easy to underestimate too. A 45-second login, multiplied across 1,000 employees logging in once a day, adds up to more than $160,000 in lost time a year. And that's a conservative example.
When we ask IT teams what they think is slowing their logins down, the answer is almost always the same: group policy. It's usually right, but rarely the whole story. Boot delays, domain controller discovery time, CPU contention, and background scripts all stack on top of each other, and most teams are troubleshooting blind because they can't see where the time actually goes.
Stratusphere UX breaks a login down to the thousandth of a second, showing exactly which step is adding delay and why. Not a guess. Not "it's probably the network." An actual answer.
Slow logins aren't just an inconvenience. They're a cost, a security risk, and often a fixable one, if you can see what's really happening.

Most AI features promise to take action on your behalf. Liquidware's approach does the opposite, on purpose.
In the latest episode of Liquidware Chats, CTO/CIO Jason Mattox breaks down three recent releases: ProfileUnity/FlexApp v6.9.5, CommandCTRL v1.5, and the upcoming Stratusphere UX update.
The through-line: AI Insights turns raw performance data into a plain-English diagnosis, even a hardware upgrade justification report. But it stops there. No autonomous action on your infrastructure.
Also covered: FlexApp Sandbox for compatibility-first isolation, CommandCTRL's browser-based remote control feature, and new NPU-level metrics in Stratusphere UX.

AI can make your EUC operations faster. It can also make them a lot faster to break.
The teams getting this right aren't skipping steps. They're using AI to understand their environment deeply before any action is taken, not to act autonomously on their behalf.
Our latest webinar dug into why that order of operations matters, using a real 2024 incident as the cautionary tale: one routine automated update took down 8.5 million Windows endpoints in hours. Not a cyberattack, just a shortcut that skipped understanding the environment first.
Using Stratusphere UX for DEX diagnostics and CommandCTRL for real-time session intelligence, the session shows how AI can do the heavy lifting on insight while your team keeps control of every action.

Most teams don't struggle with Azure Virtual Desktop or Windows 365. They struggle with picking the right one for the their environment.
We've deployed FlexApp, ProfileUnity, and Stratusphere UX in hundreds of AVD and Windows 365 environments, across nearly every industry. One pattern keeps showing up: organizations pick a platform based on the pitch, not the actual workload.
So we built a 9 question assessment based on what we see in real deployments, not marketing copy.
Answer honestly about where you are today (exploring, piloting, already live and optimizing, or migrating off Citrix or Omnissa) and you'll get a personalized platform split score showing where AVD fits, where Windows 365 fits, and where a hybrid approach makes more sense.
Take it, then challenge a colleague to compare scores. Most teams are surprised by how different their ideal split looks once app complexity and user persistence get factored in.
