This week the Fed left rates at 3.75% to 4% and said inflation "remains elevated." Two members voted for a hike.
September consumer prices were up 3.7% from a year earlier.
To me it works like this: government spends, the central bank creates the money, and then everyone acts surprised when prices rise.
Who is accountable?
Alaska's Senate ballot has two Dan Sullivans.
Republicans say the second one is there to confuse voters. The New York Times reports that Peltola campaign aides looked for a spoiler with that name in 2025. The second Sullivan says he is running for legitimate reasons.
Both parties play games with the ballot. Why would anyone trust the rules they write?
Ro Khanna is a Democrat. Thomas Massie is a Republican. It is rare to see them on the same side.
They co-sponsor a bill that would let survivors and state attorneys general sue the DOJ over the Epstein files it is holding back.
Why does transparency only come from people willing to cross their own party?
Be honest: does your vote actually change anything in Washington, or is it the same uniparty no matter who wins?

25 votes • Final resultsTrump told a crowd in Corpus Christi on Oct 27 that the U.S. is "making an absolute fortune" from the Iran war.
Regular gas now averages $4.25 a gallon. A year ago it was $3.04.
I don't know who is collecting the fortune. It isn't the people filling up at the pump.
Who is it?
Sen. Lisa Murkowski, a Republican, just endorsed a Democrat for Alaska governor. Love it or hate it, that's someone putting her own judgment ahead of party loyalty. We need more of that. Can you name another?

Congress's approval is 14%, the lowest going into a midterm in Gallup's polling since 1974. Only 15% say most members deserve reelection. That's a message from voters of every stripe. Will anyone in D.C. listen?

FROM NETANYAHU CAMPAIGNS TO CORPORATE CLIENTS: IS SUSIE WILES ROADBLOCKING MAHA?
Is Trump’s chief of staff undermining the America First and MAHA agendas from inside the White House? Mike Adams argues Susie Wiles’s history of corporate lobbying and campaign work for Netanyahu clashes with the grassroots movement’s promise to drain the swamp.
The administration now prioritizes subsidized weight-loss injections over removing ultra-processed junk from school lunches. Big Pharma and Big Food win while basic nutrition reform takes a back seat.
Wiles has represented companies linked to America’s health and corruption crises. So whose interests are shaping policy? @HealthRanger joins us to examine her record, her influence, and what both mean for America First.
One bite of my fried rice, one 'OH!' and those eyes 😍 I never stood a chance… swapped plates. Does your partner always end up with your food too? #couplehumor #couplegoals #relationshipmemes #animation
We went to the market today to get everything KP FN needed to make Papaya Salad. It turned out GREAT! She's actually a very good cook.
She said 'one minute'… twice 🙄📱 Then she caught ME on my phone. Who's the real phone addict in your house? #couplegoals #couplehumor #relationshipmemes #animation

Melatonin has been shown to slow cancer cell proliferation, help patients recover from COVID, lower blood pressure, reduce inflammation, and improve exercise recovery in healthy people. It's not just a sleep aid!
So why hasn't the media told us any of this!?
Instead, they scare us with headlines about melatonin poisoning children and causing heart disease, which are not proven.
I'm going to show you the research the media won't.
I'm furious that I'm today-years-old and only discovered this because I was researching ways to help a family member with cancer.
I've done the research. Watch the full breakdown, with studies, below. 👇
We only stayed in Samui for one day and this pretty much sums up the trip. Once we get home we're going to come up with a regular posting schedule for videos, so stay tuned. 😃

What the shit!?
I'm a Board Certified anesthesiologist and have been in practice for 24 years. I just learned that the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where I trained has launched a program to increase flu vaccine uptake among children by vaccinating them while under anesthesia.
The program is called "Close your Eyes. We'll Immunize"
This is stunningly irresponsible. Here's why:
Anesthetists are extremely risk avoidant and endeavor to minimize patient exposure to anything which carries potential side effects. This is particularly true of pediatric patients who very often have never been exposed to anesthetic medications. We simply cannot know how an individual child will respond to these drugs for the first time.
Every single medication we administer during an operation can potentially trigger untoward or allergic responses. When this occurs our primary responsibility is to stabilize the patient. Our secondary responsibility is to identify the offending agent. There is absolutely no justification of introducing another agent, in this case a flu vaccine, which carries a risk of harm and contributes nothing to the success of the operation.
Some of the more common side effects of flu vaccines are fever (11-16%) and less commonly, a rash (1%). There is also an non-zero risk of severe allergic reactions and high-grade fevers which can develop over the course of minutes.
What if a child under anesthesia receives a vaccine and develops a rash and/or fever? Is it from the antibiotic that the surgeon requested? Is it from the narcotic? The anxiolytic? The barbiturate?
Anesthetic gases can also (rarely) trigger a life threatening response called Malignant Hyperthermia which commonly presents as a high fever. Without subsequent testing we cannot know which agent was responsible. Most commonly the testing is never done and the child’s record will forever reflect the possibility that some or all of the drugs which were used are responsible for their reaction. This makes future anesthetic care significantly more challenging and will require the use of alternatives which may not be necessary.
Advocating for a flu vaccine while a child is anesthetized reflects the pervasive yet inaccurate attitude among the medical establishment that vaccines are perfectly safe. I simply cannot believe that my mentors would have ever supported this initiative when I was a resident there. Close your eyes indeed.
