On this day in Middle-earth, 25 October 3018: the Council of Elrond. Elves, Dwarves, Men, a wizard and hobbits gather in Rivendell and decide that the Ring must be taken to Mordor and destroyed. In the weeks that follow, Elrond chooses Nine Walkers to set against the Nine Riders. Choose your own Fellowship: tell us in the comments who you would send with the Ring. #TolkienSociety #Tolkien
