If you buy shit players, you're not going to make the Champions League. Shouldn't be losing at home to the..... *checks notes*....14th best team in the league but then they were fortunate to be in a position to make the Champions League at all. The team is not good
Milan have missed out on Champions League qualification and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, club owner Gerry Cardinale will sack all the directors, including Giorgio Furlani and Igli Tare, with coach Massimiliano Allegri also on the brink.

So that's been the problem all along? Mobile phones, individual rooms, and not having their weight checked is responsible for failing to qualify for three straight World Cups. Definitely not a lack of good players.
🚨 Italy interim boss Silvio Baldini is set to introduce MAJOR reforms ahead of the June international break against Luxembourg and Greece. 👀🇮🇹 ➜ NO more individual rooms. ➜ Cell phones BANNED. ➜ Strict breakfast schedules — punctuality required. ➜ Daily weigh-ins implemented. (Source: @Gazzetta_it)

Camarda is injured, but when he was fit wasn't starting enough games. Gabbia is 26 and the fact he is being described as 'the future' is why Italy are struggling to begin with. Not good enough
🇮🇹 Bartesaghi, Gabbia and Camarda are among the players @Gazzetta_it believe are the future of the Italian national team. 🤔 Did they forget anyone?

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Antonio Conte is tempted by a return as Italy’s national team coach while Napoli would not oppose his summer exit.

Complete nonsense
Riccardo Calafiori has been blamed for the difficulties of Alessandro Bastoni and Federico Dimarco in the Italy team, as the Arsenal man forced a change of position for the Inter pair. #Italy #Azzurri #Inter #Arsenal #Calcio #Nazionale

Ruggeri? Is he dead and I just haven't noticed? The number of Italians playing regular Champions League football is probably in single figures. Leaving one of them out when you can't qualify for a 48-team World Cup is madness
🇮🇹A list of who is coming in Who stays Who is under watch And who will be removed Do you agree with this from GDS?

Deluded. We haven't won the U-21 Euros since 2004. Haven't made the final since 2013. Three U-19 finals since 2008. Sounds great, right? England also have three, France have four, Portugal five, Spain seven (!!). Italy are not producing enough top players
Italy doesn’t have a talent problem, they have a development problem and I’ll tell you why. They always do decently well in the Youth tournaments. Where we see players like Kayode, Bartesaghi, Liberali, Fagioli, Hasa, Ricci, Casadei, and many others play well. 1/2

He's right but also.....Gattuso is a bad coach. He needs to go. Changing coach won't solve everything - as we've seen with Spalletti. Ultimately you need good players and Italy don't have them. But there's absolutely no chance of getting back to the top tier with a poor coach
"The problem with Italy is above Gattuso" 😬 Fabio Borini reflects on the position of Gennaro Gattuso following Italy's World Cup play off defeat and insists that there are 'major issues' within the Italian FA 🇮🇹

Italy going through a terrible period. Just have to wait it out until some good players come through. There is not enough talent in the XI, let alone the squad, to avoid situations like a World Cup playoff against Bosnia

That touch from Retegui is so bad. Unbelievable lack of quality

Gattuso's Italy are much better in 4-4-2. Need to get rid of this back three and put another wide player on

This is a pretty damning indictment on Chiesa

Ruggeri should be getting called up. One of the few Italian players who is actually playing regular Champions League football. Otherwise it's about what you'd expect. I think Ricci is better than quite a lot of those midfielders and should also be in
Italy’s expected call-ups 🇮🇹 GK: Donnarumma, Vicario, Carnesecchi, Meret DEF: Bastoni, Calafiori, Mancini, Gatti, Buongiorno, Scalvini, Coppola WB: Dimarco, Spinazzola, Palestra, Politano, Cambiaso CM: Tonali, Locatelli, Pisilli, Barella, Frattesi, Cristante ST: Kean, Retegui, Scamacca, Esposito Possible additions: Raspadori, Orsolini/Maldini/Bernardeschi Thoughts? 👀 (via Sky)

The same Boniface who has now had to undergo yet another surgery on his right knee (I've lost count how many he's up to) after struggling with it up until December. Think I'll trust the Milan medical staff on this one, thank you
Not the first time Milan does this. They did the same with Boniface last summer, and this is just an excuse. They couldn't sell Gimenez, Boniface failed his medical. Now they couldn't offload Nkunku, Mateta fails his medical. The dirty way of doing business.

He's been a disaster with injuries. Good player but would be a very poor decision given his fitness record
🚨 Following Man City’s game in the Champions League there will be a meeting the club will hold meetings to understand the intentions of Guardiola. Milan have been monitoring Nathan Ake since early January and are trying to see if the deal is accessible. Ake is ready to make a financial sacrifice to move to a project that allows him consistent playing time [@MatteMoretto]

What a win this is going to be. Terrible performance with the ball/offensively, but leaving with three points is huge

We: • out-created them • had a much higher xG • hit the post twice • had a penalty saved • conceded a rebound goal • are only 3 points off first If you think this game is on Chivu or that the Scudetto is gone, you’re silly
