I am pleased to announce that my fifth book will be released on January 26, 2027. I partnered with Joe From Texas on this one. It is now available for pre-sale. Importantly, it is all about solutions and how to achieve them.
Failure to put our federal finances in order will eventually result in a major debt crisis. @MainStreetEco

The birth burden! The total burden is actually $437,000 for every newborn when you consider total federal liabilities and unfunded obligations.
Treasury yields on the 10 & 30 year bonds now exceed 5% due to a supply and demand imbalance. The result, higher interest rates. It’s time to pass a statutory Fiscal Commission and allow that states to propose a fiscal responsibility amendment via a limited Article V Convention.
I was at the Debt Summit in Dallas yesterday at Harlan Crow’s offices and home. It was a great event and the architecture and art were both amazing. We need to pass a statutory Fiscal Commission in the Lame Duck Session after the mid-term elections.
This is the latest in Steve and my joint Op-Ed series. More to come. In addition to enhanced No Budget: No Pay, there should be automatic CRs with some reductions in base spending to avoid shutdowns.
Hanke and Walker writing in @FortuneMagazine on the NEED FOR A NO BUDGET, NO PAY RULE:
"The U.S. needs to adopt a No Budget, No Pay Rule. Such a rule would mandate that, if Congress does not pass all the appropriations bills by the end of the applicable fiscal year, its members must stay in session until they do so. Members of Congress would not be paid until they pass all the appropriations bills, and there would be no retroactive pay."
This is Constitution Day and Congress has been failing to discharge its related responsibilities in a timely manner for many years!

Despite disinformation efforts asserting otherwise, current Treasury 10-year borrowing and mortgage rates are below the post WWII average. That will not be the case in the future if we do not put our nation’s finances in order. It’s time for action!
President Trump just said that we have the greatest economic growth we have ever had. That is total B.S. The most recent real economic growth is 1.5% and it has been much higher is years past.

We hit the road! Yours truly and my friend and former U.S. Comptroller General @DavidMWalker7 are on a mission with a message: Social Security can be saved, but Washington must act. Hear our commonsense solutions and why we’re taking the case directly to the American people.
The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) are a clear and present danger. They are proposing a radical re-envisioning of America, and an abandonment of key Constitutional principles. They are also making a number of false promises. They should be rejected.
This is my latest Op-Ed with Steve Hanke on the need for a major transformation of government. I gave a speech last night in Salt Lake City to legislative leaders from about 20 states on fiscal and federalism issues.
