Police have made 2,700+ arrests in the UK for protesting peacefully against the banning of Palestine Action. This can't go unchallenged. The UK’s chief prosecutors must now decide whether to prosecute them. We need to urge them not to amnesty.org.uk/get-involved/… via @amnestyuk

Sir Patrick Stewart was best known for playing heroes on screen, but one of his bravest acts was telling the truth about his own childhood and speaking up for human rights.
For many years, he stood with Amnesty and spoke openly about the violence his mother suffered at home to support our campaign to stop violence against women. His honesty gave courage to survivors around the world.
Our thoughts are with his wife, family and friends. The best way to honour him is to carry on the fight he believed in. It should appal us all that the scourge of violence against women and girls continues, and Governments must do far more to end it.

He was 14 when he committed the 'crime' of protesting. #SaudiArabia executed him on 17 October aged 29
With 347 executions last year, Saudi has reached a new high, despite its 'liberal' image makeover. End the death penalty in Saudi, US, Iran etc

This is huge.
Time for all British nationals who served in the IDF to be investigated over possible involvement in war crimes.
🚨NEW: After a months-long investigation, we can reveal that a British national who posed in front of a burning school in Gaza fought for Israel and may have participated in war crimes.

Rightify Ghana is training dozens of young LGBT+ advocates to organise, speak out & defend human rights. They risk jail but bravely challenge anti-LGBT+ prejudice. BRAVO!

Those who want to scrap the pensions triple lock say it must go to fund public services. NO!
UK pensions are among the lowest in Europe. Instead of robbing the elderly, tax billionaires an extra 5%. They can afford it. Their wealth is rising 8% per year

Medical tests using animals are bad science. The physiology of animals & humans are different
New drugs that are safe in animals sometimes harm humans. Nearly all Alzheimers drugs that work in animals, don't work in humans. Time to switch to animal-free alternatives > @AFR_UK
Why do we need to replace animal tests to make medicines safer? Professor Chris Goldring at the University of Liverpool explains why moving away from animal experiments is not just an ethical issue, but also an important scientific one. #AnimalFree #KinderScience
