The age of agents is going to be amazing for most programmers, but it'll be hard times for the cantankerous ones.
Specialized knowledge and rare skills will no longer offer immunity for those who are a pain to work with.
Best learn some basic people skills.

By continuing to engineer software, and by realizing that engineering software now means the management of agents to produce that software.
Using agents will make you X times more productive. This does not mean that companies will require fewer programmers. It means that companies will get X times more done, and make X times more profit.
I expect the demand for software engineers, who know how to successfully drive agents, to go through the roof.

Spicy take 🌶️
If this age of AI gives you existential dread instead of giving you wings you weren't that good at what you 'do'
We all have superpowers and propellant to get work done better and faster, but there is nowhere to hide a lack of vision for 'what' to get done

What will I do after we win?
Open a nice bottle of wine (no alcohol right now obviously) and go to Amsterdam (had to cancel when covid started).
Thinking of future is reassuring.

6 days of war…..my friends sleep in basements with children….my parents left their house and try to cross the border. Every day feels like eternity. But the fight continues. Breaks my heart 😭😭😭

Starting to see some bad takes on Russia-Ukraine. Let me outline a good take:
-Putin is a monster and this war is entirely his fault.
-The sanctions we’re taking are strong and are a good response.
-Offering weapons aid is good.
-Keeping U.S. troops out of this is a key goal.

My parents have made it to Poland after walking 15 km for more than 20 hours. They are now being transported to Warsaw and will fly to Ireland next. If someone has experience with asylum seeking process here - let me know. – at Dublin City, Ireland

This used to be my road home. Now it’s blown up to prevent Russian tanks from entering Kyiv

I learn to use #Kalashnikov and prepare to bear arms. It sounds surreal as just a few days ago it would never come to my mind. Our #women will protect our soil the same way as our #men. Go #Ukraine! 🇺🇦
