The PHSO report on compensation for WASPI recommends a Level 4 amount which is between £1000 & £2950. Even though this is an acknowledgment of Government failures, I believe this will come as a bitter disappointment to many of these women, who will feel betrayed.

The triple lock for pensioners is not being honoured. It is not a triple lock because the gov failure to raise the tax free level drags pensioners into paying income tax on an income below a living standard. It’s unacceptable.

MATT HANCOCK 🔴COST OF GREED CRISIS Hancock wants £10,000 for a single day's work. The state pension is £8,122 for an entire year. RETWEET if this is morally wrong.

I can read this but not subscriber so can't comment. COMPLETELY FAILS to see we are NOT lucky, we (1950s waspi's) did not have equality in careers, earnings and nor did we have chance to have PRIVATE PENSION pots! THAT IS PARTLY why this has been so cripling and unfair!

How do you expect PENSIONERS (NOT on pension credit) or Waspi women to keep paying Energy costs at 1/3 of their income? And increasing! It's not sustainable on such LOW PENSIONS ? What are you going to do about it? @RishiSunak @UKParliament @Jeremy_Hunt @agescotland @2020Comms

And worse. when get pension, lost partner, lost home, lost job & income recent years. covid isolation, health issues, living a pound or so over pension credit, savings/reserves gone, in fear of not managing. Unwanted, abandon, ignored, gov that wants us dead. Extreme Depression.
How many #1950swomen find themselves thinking on almost daily basis would I be in this situation now if I had my pension when I expected it? Many lost their homes, had move, gone without food heat. Isolated no money to get on bus train no free passes as you were not a pensioner yet

It’s shocking. So many women in such situations, struggling alone.
Britain in 2023. She’d probably be alive if the government had taxed energy companies making billions in profit. The Tories are killing people.

Is there nothing he won’t keep silent about! Did we really need to hear that. Not believable anyway.

I think if it was me I might have felt so sick I would have thrown it in his face!
That rather lets him off the hook. He's not a baby, he decided to do that himself.

Christian hypocrites more like! If they truly had one once of Christianity they could not live with themselves or the poverty & hardship they inflict. Hunger, homelessness, cold, breakdown & removal of social support or health care and debt. More a Court of heartless King Herods.
You can't possibly think Jesus would be on your side

I also had a forecast saying 62. So 60, to 62, to 65, to 66! But try getting them to admit to the 62 one, they pretend it never happened. If dealing with a private pension it would not have been allowed. They had a duty to ensure they managed the fund to fulfil the commitment.
#DWPCrimes I’m now 68 and a bit but I was put through this awful system at 62yrs age. I got pension forecast aged57 it stated 62.7 when thought was 60 but shock horror it was wrong up to 65.7 #STOP67to70 #DWPCrimes #1950swomen #DeathB4Retire

#energybills I’m hundreds in credit on pension, sick of how they keep changing my DD without justification. I set it and they change it before next due date, they message me apologies and offer to set it, at agreed amount, then changes again. Causing more hardship. Octopus.

That is worrying sick and believable, don’t wish to think like that but it shows how irresponsible and shortsighted our politicians have become,
Average #energy prices £2,585 - UK €650 - France €650 - Belgium €620 - Spain €558 - Germany €558 - Denmark €546 - Holland €545 - Austria €543 - Norway €476 - Finland €174 - Poland We pay 5x more as Tory party refuse to tax excess energy profits.

unbelievable beyond greed. Government should be sacked for failing in their jobs. to look after the interests of the country and people. When are they going to learn we are the country! We are not just here for their benefit we have a right to decent life, heat, food and housing

What a good idea. But too sensible for our government !!!
Why doesn't every parking lot get a #solarpower upgrade? We have so many solutions to this crisis. Stop the dealys and implement them. #ActOnClimate #ClimateEmergency #Climate #energy #renewableenergy #renewables #GreenNewDeal

My miniscule pension fund is again dropping through the floor! Great!!! Survival gets harder and harder for those on state pension in this winter of crisis and high energy costs. @2020Comms

Like we are being turned into third world country! So many people barely surviving, such low incomes. Pensioners worked 51 yrs, can’t afford to go on, they want us dead. People are beyond humiliation, they are hungry, they are cold! My parents & grandparents would be horrified.
I’m literally 21 and I’ve watched society descend into absolute depravity and chaos just in my lifetime. I can’t even begin to imagine how it must feel for those of you who are older.

And with temperatures at minus 10 lower in some parts of Scotland….. when are this government going to take real responsibility for trying to kill us all?
Replying to @PolitlcsUK
That is utterly beyond belief. pensioners can’t afford it now. What happens next month! The household grants didn’t begin to cover it on such low income! Triple lock increase on our less than £10k a year pension doesn’t happen till next April. We could be dead by then! Brutal.
