I've always thought NFT ownership should be about more than holding a token in a wallet.
The way metadata, rarity and individual traits are handled also matters, especially when everything becomes public immediately after minting.
This is where I find @FungoLabs Launchpad interesting.
FungoLabs uses FHE, powered by $Zama, to bring encrypted data directly into Ethereum smart contracts.
Instead of simply hiding metadata behind a server, the actual NFT content stays encrypted on chain.
Smart contracts can still process encrypted information without exposing its original values.
What I particularly like is the level of control given to creators and holders.
When launching a collection, a studio can define how the artwork and individual traits become visible.
Some can be public from mint, others can be opened by the holder, revealed on a specific date, or kept private permanently.
The holder also gets control over sharing.
They can view private content themselves, grant access to selected wallets, or make eligible parts public. So privacy isn't just an all or nothing setting.
There's another interesting detail: creators launch collections through their own wallets, with their own collection and sale contracts.
FungoLabs also supports sealed auctions, where bids remain encrypted during the bidding period.
For me, this creates a different way to think about digital collectibles.
Rarity doesn't always need to be visible, and ownership doesn't have to mean revealing everything.
I can see this being useful beyond profile picture NFTs, especially in gaming, where hidden stats, private attributes and controlled reveals can actually affect how people interact with their assets.
The bigger question is: if creators can control what stays hidden and holders decide what gets shared, how much more creative can NFT collections become? $Fungo

here is tl,dr you need to know:

here is how the auction works:

How the Genesis sealed-bid auction works, explained with an example 👇
Imagine only 3 NFTs for sale. Minimum price: 500 cZAMA (example only).
4 people bid 1 NFT each:
→ A: 3,000
→ B: 1,500
→ C: 1,000
→ D: 500 (the minimum)
The top 3 bids win: A, B and C.
All winners pay the same final price, the lowest winning bid: 1,000.
→ A pays 1,000, gets 2,000 back.
→ B pays 1,000, gets 500 back.
→ C pays 1,000.
→ D bid the minimum, gets no NFT, gets 500 back.
Lesson: bidding the minimum doesn't mean you buy at the minimum. Bid what it's worth to you, you'll only pay the final price.

Something different is coming to NFT auctions.
@FungoLabs Genesis NFT mint goes live November 5, and it's powered by Zama's FHE technology.
here's the breakdown:
→ 500 free NFTs for whitelist holders.
→ 2,500 NFTs available through a sealed-bid auction.
how does the auction work?
You bid in cZAMA, choosing your preferred price and quantity.
Unlike traditional auctions, your bid details stay encrypted while bidding is open. No one can publicly track your price or quantity.
Once bidding closes, everything is revealed and ranked from highest to lowest.
The lowest winning bid that fills the 2,500th NFT sets the final price.
All winners pay that same price, with excess cZAMA refunded.

i think fungo labs is bringing something different to the nft space.
normally when you buy an nft, everyone can see its traits, stats and rarity nothing is hidden.
but @FungoLabs is changing that with help from @zama.
they're building nfts where some details stay private.
