That time Orson Welles met murderer Robert Blake and Robert tried to diss Orson but didn’t realize Orson mastered this craft and just stared daggers into Robert’s soulless eyes

I liked this, but the sympathetic forest ranger was demonic bullshit...
TRAIN DREAMS (2025) is a quietly devastating film about love, loss and a lifetime slipping away. The breathtaking cinematography makes the forests and mountains feel like memories you wish you could hold onto forever.

People eating people? Creepy folk legends of a sleepy seaside town? Mysterious figure embodying the curse designed to destroy the world? Artsy setting reminiscent of giallo? Why not have it all and more in the space of 90 minutes? boxd.it/h1OGNz

Can someone recommend a movie that will absolutely destroy you in the most beautiful way? Something deeply human that makes you feel connected to the characters, leaves you staring at the credits in silence, and stays in your head for days. Not necessarily sad, just something that makes you feel EVERYTHING. A film about life, love, loss, loneliness, or the beautiful mess of being human. Something that leaves a little hole in your heart when it’s over.

Watched Fool's Fire, an old American Playhouse adaptation of Poe's Hop-Frog. The title character and his friend Trippetta are played by actors, the rest are puppets. Jacobean in its excess. It was directed by Julie Taymor, who made Titus a few years later. Worthy of your Halloween rotation

One of the most incredible continuous single shots in cinema history. Children of Men - 2026. Alfonso Cuaron.
Emmanuel Lubezki consideró imposible filmar la escena del coche en "Children of Men" (2006). Alfonso Cuarón le dijo que haría la escena en CGI. Lubezki lo tomó como un desafío y la escena se logró en una sola toma. #CinemaMasterpiece

The French are decades ahead of Americans when it comes to politics: “It started with the student revolt, but it concerns the entire society. We are fighting against the government, against war, and against capitalism. The entire society needs to change.”
