ALT Jill and I join the people of Buffalo in honoring the memories of the 10 souls who were stolen from us in an unconscionable act of racial hatred against the Black community on this day 2 years ago. I often think of the conversations I had with the families of the victims and the beautiful stories they shared. I know how painful these anniversaries can be, and I want them to know that they remain in my prayers. When I spoke to your community in the days after this horrific shooting, I came to deliver a message—that our entire Nation grieved with you, that we would continue to stand against violence inflicted in the service of hate, and that we would redouble our efforts to prevent tragedies like this from happening again. Two years later, we still share your community’s sorrow. We remain steadfast in our commitment to ending all forms of racial hatred. And we are still working relentlessly to end the epidemic of gun violence that has plagued our country for too long...

ALT Dear President Biden, My name is Reese ___and I am a 6th grader at__ Middle school. I am writing to you from Bend Oregon to bring to your attention to a serious problem. There is a gender gap when it comes to how much people are being paid, and women earn less. Did you know that a woman makes 80.5 cent from their job for every 1 dollar a man earns? "As soon as girls are old enough to take on household chores and first jobs, they get paid less than the boys” according to a report by NBC news. It even impacts kids’ allowances! For example, boys earn an average allowance of $13.80 per week while girls earn $6.71 a week. This applies to all kinds of jobs including sports like soccer. Your probably aware that the US women’s national soccer team filed a lawsuit because they were making a lot less money than the US national men’s team...

![Dear Joe Biden, My name is Brenlee, and I’m a 5th grader at [blurred] in Fresno, CA. My class has representatives. We are writing to our reps about things we care about. I think that you have been doing a good job, and I wanted to say thank you. There are lots of things you have done that we appreciate. I like that you passed been the Respect for Marriage Act, because I know people who are gay, and I’m glad that you passed the Respect for Marriage Act, because I know people who are gay, and I’m glad that they can get married. I also appreciate that you passed the Child Tax Credit, because it helped me and my family during the pandemic. Nobody is perfect, and there are still things I wish you could do differently. For example, my class and I think it should be easier to get trampolines. However, overall, I think you are a pretty good president. Thank you, Brenlee](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/F2nheZ7WcAEHUaa.jpg?name=small&format=webp)
