Another nail in the ⚰️Labour have refused to mandate swift bricks while announcing the £13.2bn budget for insulation. I’ve explained how national scale insulation is destroying cavity nesting habitat without mitigating the loss & indirect mitigation with swift bricks would work.

Enough is enough! Shooting birds for fun is disgusting and inhumane.
Stop glorifying this senseless slaughter and ban it once and for all!

I've just signed @savebutterflies open letter to the Govt calling on them to declare a #NatureEmergency– 80% of our butterflies have declined since 1970 , we need to work hard and fast tackling the root problems if we are to reverse these declines .

Can I interest you in a little hope?
Cried tears of hope and pride seeing the footage tonight. I hope those terrified in asylum hotels can see all the people that support them and our human rights lawyers.
Well done @AntiRacismDay

Anyone: what you thinking about?
Me: swifts Soon they’ll be gone, this year’s chicks beginning a maiden flight lasting up to 3 years. By next year the UK’s breeding population will have declined by an estimated 10k. They need @UKLabour to mandate swift bricks

As you watch the Aurora this evening, it’s worth reflecting that you’re getting a rare direct glimpse of the power of Nature. Those charged particles causing the atmosphere to glow came from a sunspot complex 17 times the diameter of Earth and traveled across 90 million miles at a million miles an hour. Without our magnetic field to protect us, our atmosphere would have been lost to space long ago. Those colours in the sky are Nature reminding us that we’re very lucky to be here amidst the violence. And perhaps therefore also reminding us not to shite it all up :-)

There’s something that needs addressing. I felt compelled to make this video to explain why a #NoMowMay, if undertaken on its own, is a PROBLEM for #wildlife. This video will no doubt ruffle feathers, but people need the right information👇#NoMowSummer
