Experian sued me to stop my credit repair book. Said info in it was proprietary (secret) Pre-trial they offered to pay me NOT to PUBLISH. Instead I countersued-I settled for $3000 cause ALL I really wanted was to publish the book-Amazon-Walmart-Barnes&Noble RickMansfield.com

Followed you in return 👍🏻..interesting content BUT I'm a disunited kingdom person, do the 'rules' travel well?
Don't DM me. Send me anything you wanna say thru my website rickmansfield.com/credit-rep…
Most of the collection agencies & debt buyers do, but if you have the proof & know how to present the claim you still win. It's less expensive for them to settle than to fight when they know they're wrong.

Much has changed with Radius since then. They have a big law firm representing them now.
A collection letter said I had 2 OPTIONS. There are many more options than the 2 cited. This violates the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. I sued in small claims court-Won $1000 & the debt was wiped out & removed from my credit report KNOW YOUR RIGHTS! rickmansfield.com

This was sent to me by a client. She viewed a VantageScore & this is why no lenders use it to make decisions. Vantage says having a credit mix meaning credit cards, auto loan, & mortgage is HIGHLY INFLUENCIAL& is more important than paying on time! Only MODERATELY INFLUENCIAL. That's nuts!
FDCPA is irrelevant to the bureaus themselves-Equifax-Experian-TransUnion. The FCRA is what regulates the bureaus. IMO the bureaus hide behind eOSCAR in violation of the FCRA never legitimately addressing disputes. Consumers need to know their rights & how to respond when the bureaus falsely claim the debt was verified. That's total BS. They never send the dispute letter to the creditors. They simply send a 3 letter code that ever contains the full dispute & is a basis for suing the bureau, the creditor & getting the debt wiped-out and removed from your credit report!

fdcpa, while working in a credit agency (equifax/stockton: cb merchants) they were always distraught that the law was against them. used to be mail bombs. what is current tech?
I know this sounds too good to be true but here it is>
The credit bureaus say if the item reported is true it can't be removed from a credit report. EVERY negative item CAN BE REMOVED. I ruined my credit to prove it can! I owned a collection agency. I know how the system works. Ask me questions. Go to rickmansfield.com/credit-rep…
Ive been In credit & debt collection industry since 1972. Life happens! No one ruins their credit on purpose (except me, to prove it can be fixed). Got a credit repair question> Email me → rickmansfield.com/credit-rep…"
Credit card issuers report balances to the bureaus on a specific date each month—It's rarely the same as your due date. To maximize your credit score call the card comp-ask what date they report & make payments prior to the report date!
Back in the day it seemed like collectors were trying to impress the other collectors at the call center as to how obnoxious they could be! I gave those types 1 warning. Plus-I told them-These ppl probably have 10 collectors calling. If they are able to pay 1 who do ya think they're paying. The asshole screaming at them or the 1 that treats them w/respect?

My bad LOL. By the way...I was NEVER a mean collector. I always treated people the way I'd want to be treated. Because not every situation is the same.
Possibly you misunderstood my post. I taught my collectors to be empathetic when speaking with consumers. Back in the day collectors all wanted to be demanding acting tuff. I taught an opposite approach.

If that were possible I wouldn't be where I am now. No one is going to hire someone who'd have to call off up to three days a week because her migraine is so bad she can't see straight. Or due to her multiple sclerosis she's unable to walk or just perform the simple task of listing a hair brush.
That's 'me'. Trust me when I tell you, this isn't the life I signed up for lol. But it is my reality.
I'm doing what I can. I'm almost finished writing the first installment of a screenplay trilogy that I know is going to sell. It's a longshot, but it's all I've got. And I'm going for it.
